Chili highlights and Branch performances PSC performed ‘best so far’ in this quarter. Due to good performances in past few quarters, PSC is now very close to reach two crucial milestones. 1) Rs. 4 Cr as outstanding loans and, 2) 6,000 active customers. This quarter, 1,700 loans are placed against 1,645 in previous quarter. Rs 2.10Cr were disbursed to 1,700 entrepreneurs. As of September 2012, PSC has 5,926 active customers with an outstanding loan portfolio of Rs 3.99 Cr. Portfolio quality remained almost constant with only 0.27% portfolio is in the risk category.

Phulera branch performed best among all branches with 590 loans placement followed by BHK branch (560) and Dudu branch (550). Dudu branch has best portfolio quality with only 0.05% of PAR (Portfolio in risk) followed by Phulera branch with 0.27% PAR and BHK branch with 0.49% PAR.

Chili Champ Each quarter PSC announce “Chili Employee of the Quarter” based on parameters like performance, behavior, initiative taken and innovation in work. This quarter Swati Khandelwal from BHK branch is the Chili Champ. She joined PSC in 2009 as a data entry operator and soon inducted as Accounts Assistant. From 2011 she is single handed managing Accounts and Administration of BHK wonderfully. She is fast learner; knows her job well and manages her role in PSC effectively. She is always ready to participate in any PSC event and does not shy away in taking added responsibility. PSC wish this hot red chili very best and success in future.

Chili event 3rd annual retreat: In August, the PSC team in Jaipur and Delhi (PCI) came together to receive training and enjoy yearly retreat. Staff from across the offices traveled to Shimla, queen of hills, to participate in these events. Key staff and managers received training, and the following day, the entire team participated in a series of competitions. On the final day, the team was rewarded for their dedication to PSC with a full day outing in hills. In a more relaxed environment, Sanjay Gupta and Ravi Gupta took advantage of the opportunity to discuss ways PSC could improve operations. Since PSC has three branch offices across Jaipur, bringing staff together annually fosters a more cohesive team.

At part of the retreat, PSC team members received awards for their hard work and dedication. The Bhankrota branch office received the award for having the best overall indicators, which includes loan pool, total clients, and repayment rates. In second and third place came the Dudu and Phulera branches. In Phulera, Credit Officer Beena Chauhan received an award for being the PSC Credit Officer with the best portfolio indicators, followed by Rajendra Kumar of Bhankrota and Mohan Lal of Dudu. This year, PSC also awarded a certificate to team members who have taken best photograph of PSC work in field. (See below picture during tracking on a hill during retreat)
