50 % of people aged 13 to 25 answered my questionnaire.I decided to have a broad range of ages answering my survey thus I got some people aged over 51 and under 12 to answer my survey.

Two more people said that they likea fast paced opening of a film over a slow paced opening. This will aid me in whether I make a fast or slow paced opening.

This data is irrelevant for my production as the production is an opening scene. Although when it comes to writing the treatment I can decide on whether I finish the film as a cliff hanger or not with the help of this data.

50% of people said that they like the build up of tension and suspense as opposed to 17% who sad they didn't. Tension and Suspense is a key factor of the thriller genre and this data I collected in question five backs up this statement. I will be building up tension and suspense in my opening scene.

Question Six.

Most of the people said that non-diegetic music is quite important in a film, 43% said they do not think it is important or they don't know. In my opinion non-diegetic music has to be used especially in my extract to create tension with fast paced non-diegetic music otherwise it would be much harder to create tension using editing and diegetic sound.

More than a half of the people said they like the thriller genre (16), only 4 said they do not like it and 10 said they have no opinion on the thriller genre. It's good to know that a majority of people like the thriller genre- this means that I have a large audience base to target.

This information would be important to me if I was to actually release the film. Using this data I would try to attract as many audience as possible.

Question Nine

Question Nine Analysis.

Inception, Interstellar and Gravity are the films that came up a few times. These films could massively aid my production- I will watch the openings of these 3 films and try to apply the same techniques used in those films in my production to create a fine opening of a film.

Question Ten.

Question Ten Analysis.

The most popular answer was action-thriller, these would not aid me in any way but I would keep in mind that amajority of people like the action-thriller hybrid genre. My film is going to be the psychological-thriller genre, 3 people out of 30 (10%) said they like the psychological-thriller genre.
