    Study the drawings on the type of piles used, jointing details, details of pile shoe,

    starter bar details into pile cap.

    2

    RC pile or Spun pile, ensure to have a copy of catalogue on the approved size and class.

    Piles delivered to site, check for visual cracks either longitudinally or cross-sectional.

    The 28 days compressive cube strength must be attained before any actual piling works.

    Piling method statement submitted by contractor with set calculation for consultant's approval.

    Micro piles or bored piles, piling method statement submitted by contractor.

    Cutting of sample of API pipes must be witnessed by site staff or rebar delivered to site andmake marking on the sample.

    Tensile testing of the API pipe or rebar sample on its yield stress.

    All testing and recorded results send to consultant for approval.

    4

    Test pile shall be continuously monitored with a Pile Driving Analysis (PDA) throughout the entiredriving process.

    Follow strictly the construction drawing.

    The PDA test will indicate any crack occurs at the pile or joint, overstress in the pile as well as pilecapacity.

    The PDA report shall submit to consultant approval priors to Static Load Test.

    Static Load Test method statement submitted by contractor.

    Photographs are taken of the overall view, setting out and record all details by using Static Load

    Test Checklist.

    6Issue memorandum to inform the contractor of the pile combination to minimize wasteage.

    Site staff shall use relevant piling record form.

    After all piles have been driven, instruct the contractor to cut piles to cut-off levels and surveythe as-built pile position in Northing and Easting.

    The contractor shall submit as-built pile position for consultant's approval priors toconstruction of pile cap.
