More heat for less wood! Over half the heat generated by a Quadra-Fire wood-stove is from burning the smoke that would otherwise build creosote in your chimney and pollute the air. Quadra-Fire’s patented internal design featuring Advanced Combustion Technology burns the smoke in 4 zones reducing emis-sions, improving efficiency and increasing the amount of heat transferred to your home.

So… go ahead! Toss the wood in! Most Quadra-Fire stoves feature front-to-back wood loading. This allows you to load the stove without putting your hand in the firebox. If you decide to give the wood a little toss, it will safely roll to the side instead of out onto the floor. Front-to-back wood loading also improves airflow throughout the firebox, and provides more safety and convenience when adding fuel to a hot fire.

5100i

The first thing you will notice with the Quadra-Fire 5100i is the spectacular view of the fire through the huge glass bay. The 5100i is the largest full-view bay non-catalytic fireplace insert on the market today. The 5100i also tops the line as our highest heat output model producing longer, more efficient burns with one of the industry's largest firebox. In fact, this model warms your home for up to 12 hours on one fuel load! Quadra-Fire’s patented non-catalytic design feeds precision-regulated combustion air right where it is needed. The result is a smoke free, low 1.98 grams of particulate emissions per hour. To ensure even heat distribution, a standard variable speed blower system is included. For improved efficiency, this stove can take advantage of outside air provided to the fireplace. This also allows the insert to be installed in man-ufactured homes. The 5100i is available pre-assembled with either gold trim or satin nickel trim doors, windows, and lower grille. Both versions come standard with a built-in blower.

Quadra-FireCast StovesSuper Styling plus our famous 4-stage fire.

Our cast iron stoves combine a blend of beautiful cast iron art-work and our patented Quadra-Fire internal design, featuring

Advanced Combustion Technology. This combination makes our cast iron stoves one-of-a-kind! The cast iron begins its life in Belgium, where it is cast with precision and care using premium quality iron. They

are then carefully assembled in the United States to ensure beauty and durability. Each casting, designed by us, is made with an eye for decorative and functional detail. Slight texture variations are a natural result of the casting process adding to the individuality of each stove. Ancient artifacts testify to the timeless beauty of porcelain enamel. Even with today’s technology, creating the lustrous finish remains very much an art form. A complex blend of ingredients is heated and quickly cooled to form a ribbon of glass. The glass is finely ground and applied by hand to each cast iron part. Each part is then fired at temperatures up to 1500 degrees Fahr-enheit, permanently bonding glass and iron. Your stove’s porcelain comes in a variety of colors, allowing you to customize your

stove to match with your home decor. Your options: a subtle Midnight Blue, a rich Bavarian Green, a lustrous Mahogany, and a soothing Jersey Crème. Along with the porcelain colors,

your stove is also available in classic Matte Black. The final product is one of both amazing durability and breathtaking beauty.Quadra-Fire cast iron stoves are a beautiful, decorative way to heat your home!

your stove. Door styles in-clude a satin nickel trim door, a 24K gold trim door and a classic black door.

Experience the many benefits of a top shield. The top shield, available with the 3100

Millennium and 4300 Millennium, reduces the required clearance space between the stove and a wall and gives you better convection airflow. It also effectively gives you two different surface temperatures for warming those teapots, mugs of cof-fee, etc.

A powerful blower will decrease the amount of time it takes for the room air to

be warmed and make your stove more ef-ficient. An adjustable

reostat allow you to turn your blower up or down.

A labor-saving, easy access Ash Removal System (ARS) features a side lever to open the door. The tray slides right out. Cleaning out your ash is a breeze!

On the Yosemite, Cumberland Gap and Isle Royale you can have an optional firescreen. (In the U.S. only.) With the fire-screen you can open the doors to your stove, making it feel more like a classic fireplace.

Wood facts

How much wood is in a cord?A standard cord of wood is a unit of volume. A cord is 8 feet long, 4 feet high and 4 feet wide or 128 cubic feet. But the type of wood and how the wood is stacked mean that the amount of wood in a cord can vary considerably. A “run” is 1/3 of a cord and measures 8 feet by 4 feet by 16 inches. A "face cord" is a non-standard measurement. Generally it is 8 feet by 4 feet high, one length of wood deep. Note that the depth can differ substantially, making a “face cord” an imprecise term at best. If you buy over-length logs and cut them to fit your firebox, remember that cutting converts a significant amount to sawdust, not to mention wasting time and effort.

Choosing dry woodMore than 50% of the weight of fresh cut wood can be water. That’s why wet or “green” wood is hard to light, doesn't pro-duce nearly as much heat as dry wood, and releases clouds of smoke. It takes from six months to a year to dry wood properly. Dry wood has a water content of 15-25% by weight. Some of the signs of properly dry wood are loose bark and radial cracks in the ends of the logs. Dry wood should have a faded, lighter color, and won’t smell as much as green wood. Dry wood makes a "crack" when two pieces are hit together. Green wood makes more of a "thud."

How to store woodDrying wood gives off a lot of water. To prevent rot and speed drying, you should provide good air circulation around the wood-pile. Go ahead and cover your wood with a waterproof tarp, but make sure you let the sides of the pile breathe. A woodpile is heavy, and needs a good foundation. Use a few boards or a used pallet to keep your wood level and off the ground. Open-sided sheds offer an ideal way to store wood and keep it dry.
