Dear Parents and Carers,
NAIDOC Week Celebrations
The theme of this year’s celebrations is: Voice. Treaty.
Truth. Let’s work together for a shared future.
On Tuesday 2nd July, students in Years 3-6 will be
attending Jigamy Farm in Pambula to participate in
indigenous activities including: storytelling, traditional
food, arts and traditional games (including spears and
boomerangs).
These activities have been organised in conjunction with
National Parks, Bournda and the Eden Local Aboriginal
Council, Community and Elders.
The cost of this excursion is $20.00. The school is
asking parents to contribute $10.00 to assist in covering
the costs. Notes and money are due in by next Tuesday
25th June.
Students in Years K-2 will enjoy a day with Mrs Hobbis
and Ms Murray undertaking indigenous cultural activities
here at school.

Students travelled to Candelo Public School last Friday to be part of the combined recorder group rehearsals, in readiness for the performance at the Opera House in August. Mrs Summers is impressed with the progress of the group of students in learning the pieces, some can even perform without the music now. Thank you to our parent transport for the day.
