SHOPPING WALKWAY

The entry accessed from the underground train station. Have direct access to the shopping walkway and the public park area.

Maximizing the potential of Burnett Lane. With a touch of landscape techniques (water line, vegetation and seating areas). Also give visual connection to the upper level as a glimpse of the building.

PUBLIC WALKWAY & SEATING AREA

MUSIC PERFORMANCE

Give opportunities for the occupants to choose and enjoy various of public area for simple activities, such as seating, studying, picnic and of course socializing.

Give opportunities for street or professional musician to perform in the public area. The placement in quite center of the area makes the space noticeable and adding life to the whole public area.

WATER SEAT

PUBLIC FREEDOM

Maximizing the usage of the space even if it seems too radical. By letting occupants to access the water feature equipped with steps that can be used as a walkway or just seating area above the water. Placed in front of music performance space can give new experience to enjoy the music while put your feet inside the water.

Public Freedom is a partial critiques for the usage of the space that is too rigid. The space can be used freely for any public activities. The space will have direct visual connection to the above level and equipped with the tress, grass and natural lighting.

EDUCATION CENTRE

Giving opportunities for artisans and creative people to exhibit and conducting social interaction through the language of art. In terms of design, the gallery will have openings (windows and skylights) to expose the natural light as exposing the artwork as well.

2 classrooms and simple space feature (3 voids to provide direct connection to the level below and also exposed tress from ground level) simply to remind us that every aspect in the world is connected and can create beautiful things within it. It is the representation of social spirit that is carried on within the design.

POP-UP MARKET SPACE

UPPER BALCONYMore a free space to provide opportunity for pop-up seller to sell their product. The seller can be changed from time to time to provide more various selection for the occupants.

The upper balcony is connected to the pop-up market space and providing leisure space to enjoy the product from pop-up market. The space will have direct visual connection to the ground floor as well to the surroundings area (Brisbane CBD).

LARGE CINEMA

FAMILY CINEMA

RESTAURANT One of the best entertainment in QSPC. Simple large cinema presenting latest box office movies ranging from many genres. The large cinema predicted to contain 200+ guests.

Family cinema offers a quite specific type of private entertainment. With fully controlled movie screen, lighting and also broad range selection of cuisine. The family cinema expected to contain max 20 guests/room.

Within the simple design (open platform and direct view to surroundings), the restaurant offer a whole new experience of dining. Ranged from cuisines all around the world, this will be one of the designated destination in QSPC.

TICKETING AND WAITING LOUNGE

WAITING LOUNGE

The wait ing lounge designed in cantilevered structure and has it’s own s p a c e ( s p a c e w i t h i n s p a c e - spaceception) The waiting lounge will give interesting sense of space within space but still open view to the surroundings.

The space for purchasing ticket and snacks. This space also has own waiting lounge that is more casual. The roofing consist of glass so it will exposes natural light at day and city lights at night.

The balcony in 2nd floor can be functioned as waiting area as well or just seating area to enjoy the view.

ROOFTOP GARDEN / SEATING AREA

Casual bar with beers, liquors and fine dining + Rooftop will give a new experience of enjoying quality time within the view of the city. The space designed with an unconstructed concept, by means just putting the furnitures in the available space.

The rooftop also can be utilized as a seating area. In the highest level of the building, better vie of surroundings can be achieved therefore could be other alternative for the people to enjoy the social activities.
