ZAO uses a combination of applications to deliver course material and live classes to stactive and key systems are LMS and an online class delivering website www.wiziq.com

Que. What is LMS?

LMS is a management system that is central to your studies at ZAO. This is where studentadmin members interact, have discussions, make announcements, create and submit tesassignments, mark attendance etc.

Que. What is wizIQ?

WizIQ is a website where your live online classes are delivered and your past class recordiavailable. This is your online classroom!

ACADEMIC CALENDAR

Que. What is the academic calendar?

Academic calendar is a schedule of the entire academic year at ZAO. Some important datementioned in the academic calendar are:

Term duration and dates

Midterm break and holidays

Reading and Review period break and Assessments dates. Fall Term is scheduled from Aug 24, 2015 to Dec 26, 2015 inshaAllah.

CLASS ATTENDANCE

At least 85% Attendance is required in each course. This means that students are allowunexcused absences per term. A student will mark herself present when she

2. Listens to the recording on WizIQ within 2 weeks of class. [In order to learn how to use WizIQrecordings, please refer to our induction booklet.]

QURAN PROGRAM REGULAR OVERVIEW

QP Regular students take Quran classes (QP) and some required core courses.

QP Regular students also need to have Tajweed proficiency by the end of the program.

QURAN SYLLABUS FALL TERM 2015

Quran Program is a 3 year diploma course. Therefore, students who join the program iwill complete the entire Quran with tafsir in Fall Term 2018 inshaAllah.

The class in Fall Term will start Quranic tafsir from Surah al-Fatiha inshaAllah.

All students will cover the entire Quran in 3 years irrespective of when they join the pr

REGARDING CORE MODULES

QP Regular students are required to cover certain core modules at their own pace by thyear course.

The modules are independent of each other. Therefore, you may take one, or more, or amodules in this term. You also have the option of not taking any module this term. Howrecommend taking all or as many terms as possible this year and not leave them for fut

Each core module is offered once every academic year.

Thus, QP Regular students have three chances to take each module during their 3-year

TESTS & EXAMS FALL TERM 2015

QP Regular students will be tested twice in this term for Quran and once for their core

1. Quran midterm quiz (near the 6th week of the term)

2. End of term Assessment for Quran and core modules (after Dec 20)

If for any reason, a student needs an extension on exams, she may contact the Program Ustadha Nosheen Irshad. Our system is flexible and we try to accommodate different stsituations.
