WYREEMA HALL MEETING -1ST TUESDAY OF EVERY MONTH AT 7PM.

P and C News: UNIFORM REVIEW

At the P&C meeting on 16th July, there was a request for the Uniform Policy to be reviewed. It was

felt that a wider audience than just those attending the meeting should be able to provide input into

the decision making process.

In order to do this, details of the current policy, the current legislative requirements, and the

arguments for changing or keeping the current uniform policy will be outlined and distributed to all

parents prior to August 18th. Time will be allocated at the P&C meeting to be held on August 27th to

discuss both sides and an opportunity for parents to ask questions. Following the meeting the

answers to any questions raised will be communicated to the school community. A ballot paper will

be distributed to each family to complete and return by the end of Term 3. If greater than 50% of

families want the policy to be changed, then working parties will be created to draft a new uniform

policy for distribution and adoption.

All parents will be given the opportunity to contribute to the decision making process. If you cannot

attend the meeting on the 27th August, but would like questions raised and answered, then please

forward those questions to the P&C either via the P&C box in the office or via email

[email protected]

RECOMMENDATION: Join our Facebook page (Wyreema State School) for additional reminders and photos! We endeavour to keep you updated with important news through our newsletters, the front whiteboard and other notes.

FROM THE PRINCIPAL: I am always available—if not by straight away, definitely by appointment, to discuss any concerns you may have about your child/children or the school. Please do not let issues fester and become bigger than they deserve to be. Be part of the solution—not the problem!
