The purpose of the QGreys Breeders Incentive Scheme is to:• Support and encourage the growth of the Queensland greyhound breeding industry.

• Provide incentive for owners to purchase Queensland bred greyhounds. An owner of a QGreys registered greyhound will be awarded 70% of the allocated QGreys Bonus Scheme per eligible race.

• Provide incentives for breeders in Queensland. The breeder of a QGreys registered greyhound will receive 30% of the total QGreys Bonus Scheme for the entirety of its racing career regardless of ownership.

Eligibility for QGreys Breeding Incentive Scheme

• Greyhounds must be whelped in Queensland.• Greyhounds must be under twelve (12) months of age.

The two (2) age classifications for QGreys registrations are as follows:

• Under 9 months of age $ 40 + GST• Over 9 months but less than 12 months $140 + GST

The registration cut-off for each age classification will coincide with the whelping date of the greyhound:For Example: A Queensland bred greyhound whelped on March 22, 2013, is eligible for the under 9 months classification until close of business 22 December, 2013, and eligible for the over 9 months but less than 12 months classification until close of business 22 March, 2013.

How to nominate my greyhound?• Greyhounds can be nominated by completing the QGreys Nomination Form (located in this

brochure) once a litter registration has been processed. A litter registration can be completed by providing the required documentation to the RQ licensing department once a litter reaches three (3) months of age.

Nomination Conditions• Greyhounds can be nominated by the owner or the breeder (but not both).

• A nomination fee shall be payable by the owner/breeder at the time nomination is lodged with Racing Queensland. A nomination shall not be registered until the fee is paid in full.

QGreys Breeding Scheme Bonuses

QGreys bonuses will be paid to the owners and breeders for:

• All QGreys nominated Queensland bred greyhounds winning programmed Class 1 events for the full duration of their racing career.

• All QGreys nominated Queensland bred greyhounds winning a Maiden event.

• All QGreys nominated Queensland bred greyhounds winning a Novice event.

• All QGreys nominated Queensland bred greyhounds winning programmed non-group event finals on all classes of track for the duration of their career.

Note: In the event of a dead heat in any race carrying a breeding bonus in which more than one greyhound is eligible, a breeding bonus will be paid in full to each successful owner/breeder.
