EPAPOLICYAllworkfundedbyEPAthatinvolvestheacquisiHonofenvironmentaldatageneratedfromdirectmeasurementacHviHes,collectedfromothersources,orcompiledfromcomputerizeddatabasesandinformaHonsystemsshallbeimplementedinaccordancewithanapprovedQAProjectPlan.TheQAProjectPlanwillbedevelopedusingasystemaHcplanningprocessbasedonthegradedapproach.NoworkcoveredbythisrequirementshallbeimplementedwithoutanapprovedQAProjectPlanavailablepriortothestartoftheworkexceptundercircumstancesrequiringimmediateacHontoprotecthumanhealthandtheenvironmentoroperaHonsconductedunderpolicepowers.

Instrument/EquipmentManagementAllinstrumentaHonandequipmentaremaintainedfollowingmanufacturer’sguidelines.Whenaffordable,servicecontractsareusedforyearlyinspecHonandmaintenance,otherwiseallinspecHonsandmaintenanceareperformedbyanalyHcalstaff.MaintenancelogsarekeptonmajorinstrumentaHonandequipment.InspecHon/AcceptanceofSuppliesLaboratorysuppliesarereceivedintheOperaHonssecHonofthelaboratory.TheOperaHonssecHonwilldeliverthesuppliestothelaboratorysecHon,wheretheanalystwhoorderedtheitemwillcheckthattheitemreceivediscorrect.Thepackingslipissignedthattheorderiscorrect.ThisslipisreturnedtotheOperaHon’ssecHon.PurchasinginformaHon
