About us We only offer the best 3D printing consumables. We guarantee roundness of at least 95%, as well as ±0.05mm tolerances across our filament lines. Stringent quality control measures are implemented to ensure excellence. We have specific, regulated drying procedures for each material and all feedstock streams are proven 100% homogenous with no foreign debris. During extrusion, filament is measured constantly from 2-axes, with an alarm bell

sounding if the specification falls outside parameters. Filament is then wound onto 20KG bulk spools for visual inspection before it is put onto the reels we sell. All materials are REACH, RoHS and FDA compliant

We offer a 90-day money back guarantee – the longest offered by any filament brand – as well as worldwide express shipping. As of Q2 2016, we offer PLA and PET, as well as specialities such as Nylon, PC-ABS, PVA, HIPS, Carbon Fibre, Wood, Glass and Flex. Research and experimentation is continually on going both in-house and at our partner extrusion facilities, so you can expect new and exciting materials very soon! Despite being a young start-up, we are already an award-winning business – having been named a Shell LiveWIRE Smarter Future winner for August 2015. We now have our own extruder in-house to push the boundaries by developing and testing new polymers and materials. We do this because we are committed to innovation in order to meet the varying needs of a diverse 3D printer user base. In addition to selling direct to consumers on our website, we also offer:

• Education discounts • Bulk buy offers for business users • Discounts for community workshops such as FabLabs and Makerspaces • Recycling and sustainability initiatives (see page 4) • Private label and bespoke orders (see page 5) • 3D printing consultancy – covering technology, material and processing options • Low MOQ, flexible payment and free shipping wherever possible

Sustainability In addition to the speed and customisation benefits 3D printing brings, the technology is also making manufacturing greener. This sustainable production needs a sustainable feedstock, which is where we come in.

Sustainability is key and here at Filamentive, we are advocates of the triple-bottom line – encompassing economic, environmental and social factors. All products are manufactured within Europe, ensuring our carbon footprint is as low as possible. We pride ourselves on our environmental awareness, using plant-based bioplastics wherever possible as opposed to fossil-fuel alternatives.

Just 1-3% of plastic is recycled globally, and within desktop 3D printing, most objects made are short-lived and end up stored or thrown away. At Filamentive, we hope to be pioneers of recycling within 3D printing. We have two recycled product lines – rPLA and rPET (as of April 2016) – with more coming in the future. We re-use waste streams from our own production – reducing wastage and preventing virgin material use – doing our bit for the planet, but also reducing 3D printing filament cost for clients; a win-win! Going forward, we plan to improve our sustainability with the following initiatives: • Continuing to reduce our production waste through reuse and recycle • Introducing product packaging and reels made from recycled/reused material • Developing client offset credit schemes whereby waste packaging, reels and 3D prints

can be exchanged to offset future purchases • Working alongside organisations such as Fab Labs and Makerspaces to propose

incentives to deal with their waste 3D prints • Creating synergies with businesses producing significant waste plastic which may be

able to be remanufactured in 3D printing filament

Bespoke design/own label Although we are a brand in our own right, we want to use our 3D printing expertise to offer a bespoke own label scheme, tailoring to specific client needs and requirements.

Here are just a few reasons why Filamentive is the perfect partner to build your brand: • Eliminates R&D cost, time and hassle • Increase economies of scale by developing your own brand tailored to your desired

requirements as opposed to having several suppliers to meet the same needs • Facilitates faster and more effective entry to the market • Strengthen brand image and customer loyalty • Allows “upselling” of your own filaments alongside the 3D printers you currently sell We have one of the widest material portfolios out there, and we are able to offer:

Our experienced team will work with you every step of the way and this is what you can expect from the Filamentive bespoke design process: • Several telephone/face-to-face consultations to establish needs and requirements • Analysis of your current product portfolio to suggest potential options • Detailed material showcase covering specification, colours and case study examples • In-depth overview of our reel options (from 100g to 8kg!) making sure we encompass

your budget, weight and compatibility requirements. • Graphic design to create an eye-catching product, complete with your logo and styling • Each individual filament reel is shrink-wrapped and packaged to your specification

Please note: we use external extrusion partners for certain materials. We may not be able to provide bespoke private labelling services if you currently work with one of our partners.

PVA PVA is our filament is our preferred, cold water soluble, supporting material for dual extruder 3D printing. The modification on the raw material results in a filament that is much more thermally stable than a regular PVA. It also bonds well to PLA, ABS and PET-G, which enlarges the application field significantly. This polyvinyl alcohol-based filament is non toxic and biodegradable once dissolved in water. Easy printing, much less failures and easy removability makes this the supporting material you should try. Features: •  Improved formula with enhanced stability in printing •  Excellent water solubility •  Thermally much more stable than a regular PVA •  Good bonding to PLA, PET-G and ABS •  Biodegradable when dissolved in water

Colours: PVA is available in its natural colour. For specific applications PVA is available in colours on request. Packaging: PVA is available in all types of reel design, packaging and labeling. Ask our team about customizing your product. . Additional info: Recommended temperature for heated bed is ± 35-60˚C. Do not exceed a printing temperature of 225˚C, because then PVA crystallizes quickly and it will no longer flow and/or dissolve in water. . The speed at which the product dissolves in water is dependent on the volume of the printed object and the temperature of the water. PVA dissolves in cold water. Higher water temperature (up to 70˚C is no problem) will accelerate the dissolution. PVA can be used on all common desktop FDM or FFF technology 3D printers. Storage: Cool and dry (15-25˚C) and away from UV light. This enhances the shelf life significantly.

PLA (rPLA) Poly Lactic Acid – or PLA - is a biodegradable plastic originating from natural plant-based resources. PLA is a tough, easy to use, high grade PLA type of filament, ideal for 3D printing. Slightly modified, our filament retains the typical features of PLA, but makes it tougher and less brittle. Our PLA is branded rPLA due to the fact it originates from 90% recycled sources as opposed to virgin alternatives, however still maintaining quality and technical parameters. Features: •  Tougher and less brittle compared to regular PLA •  Easy to print at low temperature •  Low warping •  Biodegradable •  Limited smell

Colours: PLA is available from stock in 28 bright colours. For non stock colours a minimum of 40kg ± 10% is required. Packaging: rPLA is available in all types of reel design, packaging and labeling. Ask our team about customizing your product. Additional info: PLA can be printed without a heated bed. If you have a heated bed the recommended temperature is ± 35-60˚C. PLA can be used on all common desktop FDM or FFF technology 3D printers. Storage: Cool and dry (15-25˚C) and away from UV light. This enhances the shelf life significantly..
