This highly scalable solution allows configurations up to 16 axes with the Q170MCPU-EIP stand-alone motion controller. Error handling and program flow are handled by the iQ Motion Application Framework, which is a free downloadable project that makes program development fast, easy, and consistent from project to project.

Customizable CommunicationsThe Advanced Motion with EtherNet/IP system allows you to completely customize the communications to suit your application and programming style. Whether you prefer to leave as much code in the PLC as possible or separate the motion and logic tasks for easier troubleshooting, the Advanced Motion with EtherNet/IP system can do it all. With the ability to host local I/O, encoder inputs, mark detection, and limit switches, you can even offload much of the I/O to the motion system.
