1 My son is just getting old enough to start trail riding so I hope to be attending more family events 2/14/2016 8:18 AM

2 the trails are clearly well managed. i'm a new member, should have joined a long time ago. 1/26/2016 4:06 PM

3 I selected Family Events 'Could use improvement' only because I would like to see more of these events. The eventsthat are put on Pancakes in the Forest and TAKMBD are both very popular with my kids. Maybe monthly family rideday?

4 The unchecked items are all great, but they don't exceed my expectations. 1/12/2016 10:57 AM

5 Hoping that the growing membership numbers will lead to organized youth rides to help continue growing the sport.Always appreciative of the trail work being done, but I'd have to say it falls between exceeding my expectations andbeing good but not great - mainly because I'd love to see 3 rocks get some more general maintenance. Seems to bethe forgotten trail network. And anything that can be done to help open up more areas to night riding would beawesome.

6 as far as trail builds go, the organization, advocacy, lobbying etc was excellent. The volunteer hours was amazing. The trails could be better though. Not much challenging. Need to be wider. Not everyone is riding narrow bars. Needmore expert level things. They can be things that everyone can ride but the better riders can do more with them. Eg,doubles.

1/7/2016 10:02 PM

7 I seem to have been deleted from e mails on several occasions over the years. 1/7/2016 2:35 PM

8 It would be nice to have some quality riding spots closer to my home in Markham. Easy to say for a guy who onlymade it out to one build :)

1/7/2016 8:50 AM

9 I am not happy with the signage in Durham Forest....i cannot find my way without an experienced rider....not beingable to figure out where I am is frustrating....why is the beginning of each trail not signed...very intimidating forbeginning riders

1/6/2016 10:26 PM

10 Family events sound awesome we've just not been able to attend 1/6/2016 4:33 PM

11 For family events, they are great... I'd just like to see more of them to encourage the youth to ride and get involved. 1/6/2016 2:40 PM

12 I had problems accessing the website so did not become familiar with it. 1/6/2016 1:10 PM

13 Have not been riding much with club this year due to work but try to come out at other times 1/6/2016 10:14 AM

14 I'm happy to support the organization but need to ride on my own schedule. Very pleased with the email messages ofrides to come.

1/5/2016 11:37 PM

15 The DMBA beginner group rides on the weekends exceeded my expectations Dan Little is excellent. Once very basicinstruction on hill climbing and going through stone soup given by Ms Fisher was extremely helpful as well. For me theWednesday group rides were disappointing the slow group was not slow. As a result I rode on Wednesdays but notwith the group.

1/5/2016 9:48 PM

16 way too many emails on a weekly basis 1/5/2016 5:00 PM

17 I find it curious that the forums are not really used. I might have guessed, based on other groups I belong to, that therewould be chatter about skills, equipment, trails, etc. but that's not the case.

1/5/2016 11:10 AM

18 More kids events and skills development programs would be great. The club could even consider developing asummer camp program for kids as a profit centre. On the Wed rides it would be great to add a few groups forexperienced kids as well so the whole family can head to the forest and ride.

1/5/2016 10:21 AM

19 Would appreciate some "education" sessions both on and off bike. How to tackle logs. How to get the chain back onor tire changed. Does not need to be free.

1/5/2016 7:37 AM

20 The forum on the website is really being under utilized. My road club has a small fraction of DMBA and its forum ishighly used to disseminate information and build a community. Maybe instead or (or addition) pushing emails for trailsrides, have people go to the website to see rides. Post events and notices in the forums.

1/5/2016 2:16 AM

21 Family events should be far more frequent in order to get younger kids to be part and understand the significance ofthis club at an early age

1/4/2016 10:25 PM

22 your emails get caught in my spam filters before they reach me. i had to have my service provider whitelist your emailaddress

1/4/2016 10:00 PM

23 Would really be helpful to have trails marked or sign on trails. Afraid to ride alone as always get lost and haveabsolutely no idea where I am in forest

1/4/2016 9:23 PM

24 Better social media. Twitter. Facebook and Instagram. Consider a moderated group on strava. Social media presenceis weak.

1/4/2016 9:16 PM

25 More difficult options with ride arounds needed on new trails 1/4/2016 8:37 PM

1 Small increase for individual membership, but keep family membership the same 1/13/2016 12:06 AM

2 An increase is fine as long as the money is being used for the cause. 1/12/2016 11:02 AM

3 I am ok with the membership fees as they are. Considering the amount of money that went into jerseys for thevolunteers, and the amount of tools that are purchased etc. I would be ok with a small increase in the fees as long asit is for future projects and not to pay for past debts.

1/7/2016 10:07 PM

4 Current fees seem to work. As a bike shop owner I talk to many customers and recommend DMBA. When prices get tohigh you will get resistance. I beleive its the the reasonable price that grows the membership. With the increase inmembership that is an automatic increase in fees collected over past years. Just keep the budget in line.

10 I like that there are different levels of memberships, that way a person can decide the level of financial support theywish to provide for themselves.

12 I have no problem paying a small increase. Still a great value. 1/4/2016 8:13 PM

13 only raise them if needed and show proof of where the money goes towards. Having membership money used to fundspecial jerseys that only select members can get or prizes that only select few can win is not reasonable in my opinion. Those funds should be coming from another source. Not saying this is what happened but it could be seen that way ifthere's nothing backing it up.

1/4/2016 11:49 AM

14 Fees now are fine , but there should be an easy way make donations. 1/3/2016 8:40 AM

15 I almost think there should be a fee for the usage of Durham forest to begin with, but that is my opinion that few peopleshare. Otherwise the fees are reasonable as I know a lot of people already baulk at them.

1 Picnic tables, shelters and rest areas at map locations. 2/14/2016 8:20 AM

2 for the beginner network. when the Wednesday rides are schedules for beginners, it can sometimes be confusing as towho is leading and what groups are what. and example is on my rides in 2015, many riders were in the |wrong group"as in, beginner to intermediate. so a beginner would ride with us, and then have to quit or ride back or join a differentride because they were tired or bike was nit up to the trail. the solution to this is having very defined times forbeginners, and if there are changes on the meet times, meeting points, if you were lost what to do. clear instructionsrather assumptions.

3 More social events, more meaningful communications - newsletters for example 2/1/2016 2:29 PM

4 you guys are great. thank you. 1/26/2016 4:13 PM

5 I would like to be able to communicate more easily with members. For example, I'd like to be able to see a list ofmembers with their emails and/or phone numbers. I know you will balk at this suggestion for "privacy" reasons, butthis is the single greatest opportunity I think we are missing to increase member communications, bonds amongmembers and member engagement. There are ways to list addresses and block spam. Being able to see members'names will help me remember them, reach out to them after meeting one on a group ride, invite someone for a ride, etc.

10 I think they do an amazing job! 1/10/2016 3:57 PM

11 Have more than one leader doing the same route for group rides, so that the group does the same but at a differentpace. At the end everybody can talk and feel that they have done the same thing.

1/9/2016 2:43 PM

12 With 700 members, you may be able to leverage more promotions. Especially since Durham Forest is full of people.Get sponsors to support builds?

1/9/2016 9:48 AM

13 Membership should be mandatory. Stop the free loading. 1/8/2016 10:37 PM

14 Website should show names of members and allow members to upload a pic and write a blurb 1/8/2016 9:11 PM

15 Nope You guys are awesome 1/8/2016 7:48 PM

16 Stress to riders that you rely on local support, so support local corporate members and event organizers. Shoppingonline and buying products from other countries does nothing to help your corporate members, generate grants orlocal tax dollars which help our community. Your kids wont get hired at chain reaction, but may well land there first jobat a local shop or business

1/8/2016 12:45 PM

17 Perhaps a "short notice, just found time to ride" page anyone can access on the website. It might help people gettogether for impromptu rides that do not fit into the regular evening or weekend group rides. It might be like a Tinder orGrinder app for mountain biking.

1/8/2016 8:20 AM

18 It does get very cliquey on wed night rides. I think a strong social coordinator who will take newer people under theirwings a bit and help them meet people would be great. Too many new people on wed night rides get alienated andintimidated. Maybe a few post wed night ride bbq type events would be good. or a solstice ride on june 21 withsomething afterwards.

1/7/2016 10:10 PM

19 signage to mark trails would be helpful 1/7/2016 4:05 PM

20 I don't do a lot of DMBA events as I am usually at work. I believe you are doing a descent amount of events already. Ihave heard that it is extremely busy in the forest when the Wed. night ride is on. Maybe break that into 2 nights?

1/7/2016 2:45 PM

21 -further discounts on club apparel -further discounts on travel based mtb trips; accommodations etc. -more regulardiscounts with supporting shops; i.e. show your membership card at point of purchase -re-institute the membershipcard with renewal (for use with supporting retailers) -creation of a DMBA/YMBA phone app for ease of use whenmobile -more casual social events-post bike ride ("tailgate" sort of gatherings)

1/7/2016 10:52 AM

22 You already do such a great job, but I suppose for me it would be the development of some quality riding trails andorganized rides nearer to my home in Markham.

1/7/2016 8:57 AM

23 More beginner rides....and as mentioned many times in my survey answers....trail signage! Name of trail and skill level! 1/6/2016 10:38 PM

24 If we could more kids/youth involved would be good for the future of the sport 1/6/2016 9:58 PM

25 More day trips or far away trips 1/6/2016 9:48 PM

26 I find it is a disincentive to ride when rides are published/scheduled at 2 hrs long. Altho I am an advanced rider, I getbored after an hour or so and I have heard some grumbling about the length of rides . Leaders should recognize thatnot everyone is a hard ass rider. I am an advanced rider but I definitely do not enjoy a ride over an hour to an hourand a half. Leaders should always plan a longer ride to allow for an easy exit after an hour or so. You mightencourage casual riders to come out more often if every ride was not an endurance test . You need to understand theriding membership, (skill level , keenness etc) a whole lot better. Also you should hold a clinic at the beginning of theseason for potential ride leaders instead of the haphazard way it is done now. Also the Harry Potter hat sorting ofriders into groups is haphazard at best and must be very confusing to new members. It is not done well in terms ofgetting leaders volunteering to lead, matching skill levels , length of ride , difficulty of ride etc. You also need tocommunicate in writing on the web site to ride leaders if they have any legal liability for the ride they volunteer to lead.

28 More skills training sessions. 1/6/2016 6:28 PM

29 Regarding teh automated renewal suggestion .. good idea. IF you decide to proceed, I'd suggest that: - People havethe option when they sign up to indicate wehther they want automated renewal or not (just like we have with CAA andvarious other services) -- People get a 30 day notice (ie. you will be automatically renewed on Jan 1, 20xx if you don'tclick here. You guys are doing an awesome job. The Dagmar build was one of hte most powerful examples ofcommunity leadership and community volunteerism that I have seen in a long time. Truly impressive.

30 Maybe a big party at the end of the season - fun races for everyone - bonfire in evening. 1/6/2016 5:17 PM

1/5/2016 11:40 PM

49 Offer skill training and bike maintenance workshops. On Wednesday evenings offer a slower group ride than in 2015.Someone should review the forums - there are actually some good ideas that the executive misses. Install a steamwhistle station in Durham forest and an outhouse.

51 Would love to see skills clinics 1/5/2016 1:57 PM

52 Skills development workshops for less experienced riders would be amazing. 1/5/2016 11:14 AM

53 Better signage for new riders and a member trail map with more information for everyone to use. There are so manytrails that new riders are overwhelmed and unclear as to where to ride safely. Every trail needs a clear sign indicatingthe name and the difficulty rating like a ski resort would.

1/5/2016 10:24 AM

54 Can you attach signs to posts or trees to mark trails. Have no idea where I am and constantly getting lost. Trailmarkers would be very helpful. Thanks.

1/5/2016 10:23 AM

55 A better more interactive website . It stinks right now. 1/5/2016 9:55 AM

56 More challenging terrain, similar to Dagmar and beyond, on future builds. Better communication on bike demo days. 1/5/2016 9:38 AM

57 More family events...the kidsprocket on Monday nights was great...all summer long would be awesome. I have noproblem paying for this as I understand it takes resources to run this.

1/5/2016 9:30 AM

58 Based on your survey results if there are alot of both male and female singles in the club. A singles ride event but notif it's just going to be a sausage fest.

1/5/2016 9:06 AM

59 Too many of the group rides are billed as "Intermediate" and the only time I joined one withing 10 minutes I could notkeep up. Need a better ranking system. I think I am above beginner but I am clearly not intermediate, at least in termsof fitness level. Skill wise I think I am OK.

69 1)more family events in different parks. These can be just riding without where everyone brings their own food for apicnic at the end 2)the yearly membership should be for a year and not for a calendar year. I got a yearly familymembership in June or July 2015, but it expires at the end of December 2015. 3)A member sale and shop event.Basically a once a year event where members can come ready to sell or buy bikes or other bike items in one bigsetting - maybe at a park where people can test things if needed

74 it's currently a great club _ we are lucky to have such an organization for durham riders ! 1/4/2016 9:13 PM

75 Emily Batty at every ride. Do some work other than at Durham Forest and EDH 1/4/2016 9:10 PM

76 I really like the idea of organized club rides to other Southern Ontario riding hot spots. And once there, the groupshould divide up by skill and endurance level to keep it fun and challenging.

1/4/2016 8:50 PM

77 I feel I am close to intermediate but I can't keep up to the pace they ride and I don't want to hold riders up, so I don'tcome out unless there is a beginner ride but that's skittle slow, something in between would be good.

1/4/2016 8:48 PM

78 Later weekday group rides would make it easier for me to attend, as with young children hard to get out of the houseat 6, 6:30

1/4/2016 8:48 PM

79 Maps would be great 1/4/2016 8:44 PM

80 Would like to have ability to upload and share gps data/videos to website. Would also like to see more social mediaintegration (example: comments from users, sharing photos, etc)

1/4/2016 8:41 PM

81 I'm actually happy with the DMBA/YMBA. If I was more socially oriented I might have suggestions but as it standsthere is ample opportunity to join in.

1/4/2016 8:37 PM

82 I know a lot of beginner riders, they are intimidated to get involved or join, they feel it's to difficult to learn, there shouldbe more beginner type of programs (especially for women)

1/4/2016 8:18 PM

83 Rail trail rides guided /supported. I know it would cost to participate but bet members would participate. 1/4/2016 8:17 PM

84 We are very fortunate to have such a dedicated group advocating for our mountain bike trail systems. 1/4/2016 8:17 PM

85 Better understanding of the sponsorship discounts. Seems anyone can be a sponsor yet nowhere is it stated what thatsponsor contributed. Do all the shops give discounts? who knows really.

1/4/2016 11:51 AM

86 -Weekly group rides with an optional earlier start time (5pm or 5:30 pm). I prefer to start/finish earlier and this couldalso open the trails -More consistent updates on trail conditions, particularly early and late in the year

1/3/2016 9:07 PM

88 It would be great if a kids camp could be offered more often throughout the summer. 1/2/2016 4:15 PM
