Directions:

1. Copy enough worksheets so that half of the class will get Practice #1 and the other half will get Practice #2.

2. Give students time to simplify the expressions independently.

3. Once complete, students can find a partner who has the other worksheet (or you can have the partners chosen ahead of time). The answers are the same for each problem. Talk about each one. If they have two different answers, students should talk it out and figure out which answer is correct.

4. Once finished, students can fill out the reflections sheet together.
