Chalk in common salt.Mix a spoonful of saltin a glass of water.
If there’schalk mixed in,the solution willturn white.
If notit’ll beclear.

OTHER OILS IN COCONUT OIL.Take coconut oil ina transparent glass andrefrigerate for 30 minutes(not in thefreezer)
Coconut oilsolidifies
If it isadulterated,other oils remainas a separate layer.

SUGAR SOLUTION IN HONEY.Add a drop of honeyinto a glass of water.
Pure honey will notdisperse in water
If it disperses in water,it indicates the presenceof added sugar.

DHATURA IN FOOD GRAINS.Take small quantity offood grains in a glass plateand examine closely.
Dhatura seeds are flat and blackish brownin colour. They can be separated easily

Add 2 teaspoonsof food grains
in a glass ofwater and mix.
Pure food grainswill not leaveany colour.
Adulterated oneswill leave colourimmediately in water.

Add some amountof black pepper toa glass of water.
Pure black peppersettles at the bottom.
Papaya seeds floaton the surface.

Sprinkle chillipowder into aglass of water.
Pure chilli powder willremain on the surface.
Artificial colourantswill immediately startdescending in colour streaks.

ARTIFICIAL COLOUR IN TURMERIC POWDER.
PURITY TEST- 08
Add a teaspoon of turmericpowder in a glass of water.
Natural turmeric powderleaves light yellow colourwhile settling down.
Adulterated powder will leavea strong yellow colour inwater while settling down.

PURITY TEST- 09DIFFERENTIATION OF COMMON SALT AND IODISED SALT.
Cut a piece ofpotato, add saltand wait for aminute. Thenadd 2 drops oflemon juice.
If the salt is iodised,blue colour will appear.
If it’s common salt, therewill be no blue colour.

If adulterated, therewill be a clearseparation of colour.
ARTIFICIAL COLOUR ON GREEN PEAS.Add and mix a little amount ofgreen peas into a glass of water.
After half an hour,if it’s pure, the waterwill still be clear.
