Overview Hormones play critical roles in maintaining metabolic health. Changes in a woman’s ovarian

structure or function can influence many facets of cardiometabolic wellness, particularly

insulin sensitivity and visceral fat composition in the abdominal region.1,2

Clinical studies indicate that exercise, diet and various nutritional supplements are effective

in addressing the constellation of ovarian function, metabolism and cardiovascular health.3-13

This protocol, which is based on the findings of published research, is suitable for both

pre- and postmenopausal women. It also serves as a strong foundation for healthy weight

management when combined with a healthy diet and regular exercise.*

Dietary Recommendations• Emphasize organic natural whole foods to minimize exposure to antibiotics, hormones,

pesticides, artificial colors/flavors/sugars, high fructose corn syrup or preservatives.

• Prepare a diet low in refined carbohydrates and rich in fiber to support satiety, gut

microbial balance and healthy glycemic responses.

• Ensure adequate fluid intake to facilitate the action of fiber. A minimum of 8–12 oz. of

water 8 times per day is recommended.

• Consume a variety of vegetables and fruits. Cruciferous vegetables help to detoxify

compounds that affect hormone signaling. Green leafy vegetables and berries support

glucose disposal and vascular health.

• Eliminate allergens to reduce stress on the G.I. tract and immune system.
