TONALITY® – Pure aesthetics for unique facades.

High quality aluminium alloys, perfectly designed details and the „KERALIS“ process distinguish TONALITY worldwide as a unique, efficient system. It is exceptionally safe, even in extreme situations, as demonstrated by international earthquake tests. At the same time, the simplicity of the system is impressive: almost all requirements of a facade can be satisfied using only two different profiles.

3. Patented system technology, recognised worldwide

Raw materials of outstanding quality combined with a special preparation provide the basis for a high quality tile body. With the „KERALIS“ processing method, TONALITY offers an innovative technology that makes the TONALITY facade tile unbeatable in three respects: Strength, durability and cost-effectiveness.

TONALITY® – Certified quality.

02 | 03

Colour provides a means of expression, enhances aesthetics and also provides protection. Diverse and refined, TONALITY comes in over 50 standard hues with interesting surfaces. Custom colours and surfaces combined with attractive joint designs are available upon request.

5. Large range of colours

4. Low dead weight

A further property can reduce costs significantly: a low dead weight of only 28-35 kg/m², combined with high strength, means that the primary substructure can be significantly reduced during installation.

1. „KERALIS“

Installation is fast and easy – the tiles are simply hung and no clips are required. The simple TONALITY installation principle makes it ideal for renovation/refurbishment projects. In case of damage the tiles can easily be replaced. Integrated disassembly protection is available as an option.

2. Fast, easy installation

High strengthThe tile body is very strong which means that even single layer tiles can be used in large formats. In addition to the standard sizes (150 x 300 mm to 400 x 1,600 mm), many additional formats are available upon request.

Protection from environmental influencesThe dense surface characteristics offer ex cellent protection against moss formation and soiling. Excellent resistance to environ-mental effects and the weather is a very special characteristic that ensures the tile retains its attractiveness for a long time.

Graffiti protectionAn additional benefit of the state-of-the-art TONALITY „KERALIS“ process: The high tem-perature of the firing process (over 1,200°C) provides lasting integrated graffiti protection for the lifetime of the product, without any need for renewal.

„HIGH FIRING FACTOR“The innovative sinter firing process – the TONALITY „HIGH FIRING FACTOR“ – reaches temperatures over 1,200°C and ensures a refined finish, maximum strength and precision.

High quality, frost resistance and durability have been inherent characteristics of TONALITY facade tiles for decades. These high quality facade tiles stand out due to their unique colours, range of surfaces, highly attractive joint design and practical installation-friendly technology. In both new build and refurbishment projects, the ventilated facade with TONALITY facade tiles has proven to be a reliable facade system with outstanding physical properties.

Certified quality. TONALITY facade tiles are certified by the German Institute Construction and Environment e.V. (IBU - Institut Bauen und Umwelt e.V.) with an environmental product declaration (EPD) in accordance with ISO 14025 and EN 15804.

Ventilated facade – a proven system with many functional advantages.

04 | 05

The ventilated facade provides outstanding design freedom and functional reliability. A range of joint patterns, surfaces and colours provides many different ways in which to tailor the design of the facade to the specific requirements of the building.

Furthermore, the physical separation of thermal insulation and weather protection makes the ventilated facade a robust and durable system. The ventilation facilitates air circulation which is a reliable method of ensuring building and occupancy moisture are removed. This keeps the insulation and structure dry at all times. In addition, care and maintenance efforts are extremely low.

All energy-saving requirements can be satisfied by using ventilated facade systems. The system can accommodate any required insulation thickness, which means that every insulation standard from low-energy house to plus-energy house can be implemented. Consequently, the ventilated facade offers excellent protection from the cold in winter as well as from the heat in summer.

Installation regardless of weather conditions and the option of completely disassembling the system into its individual components during dismantling are additional benefits.

Rear-ventilated façade system: By structurally separating the thermal insulation and weather protection materials, rear-ventilated façade systems ensure technical and economic certainty together with a high degree of creative freedom.

Outstanding design flexibility and tailor-made solutions – curves and composite grids.

08 | 09

The different TONALITY substructures enable construction of unique facades. The system provides a tailor-made solution, even for exceptional requirements such as curves or designs incorporating facade tiles of different heights. With the adaptive system (ADS), even small radius curves can be built. Composite grids using different tile heights are made possible by the BAS Flex clips of the base clinch rail system (BAS).

Outstanding design flexibility – portrait installation.

10 | 11

Portrait installation of TONALITY facade tiles offers an additional opportunity to set architectural accents. In contrast to conventional installation, with this installation method the TONALITY facade tiles are set upright. This allows the facade design to pick up on typical elements such as striking vertical slit windows.

Outstanding design flexibility – joints.

12 | 13

TONALITY system assemblies offer varied facade design options with a selection of joint profiles. Whether a closed, 8 mm width joint, an almost invisible, 2 mm width fine joint or an open joint, the system has the right solution for every design requirement. The closed joints can be executed in both recessed and flush versions.
