Studentsareofferedretreatexperiencesineachoftheirfouryears.

Each division has “traditional retreats” which focus on building

community and better understanding self, others, and God. In

addition,studentsareoffered“justiceretreats”eachyearandduring

thesummer.Thejusticeretreatsareanopportunitytogrowinour

understandingofhowGodispresentinourworldtoday,particularly

amongthepoor,andtoexplorehowwearecalledasChristianstobe

inrelationshipwithoneanother.Inpastyears,thefollowingretreats

Purcell Marian utilizes free Open Software (Star Office), which can be installed on any home computer. Star Office is

compatiblewithavarietyofthelatestsoftwarepackages,includingMicrosoftOffice,savingparentsthousandsofdollarson

additionalhardware,softwareandlicenserenewalfees.

Dedicated in 2002, the Archbishop Daniel E. Pilarczyk Education

Centerprovidesstudentswithastate-of-the-artacademic,artistic

andathleticfacility.TheMarianistLibrary,whichisnowcompletely

converted to Thin Client technology, is a learning resource center

thatstudentscanaccessforresearch,groupprojects,readingand

individualstudy.AtthecoreofthebuildingstandstheCaritasChapel,

Catholic Student Achievement Grant (CSAG)

In an increasing effort to make Catholic education more affordable to middle-class Catholic families, our alumni in

2008—alongwiththegenerosityofprivatefoundations—establishedtheCatholicStudentAchievementGrant. Inorderto

receivethefour-yearrenewablegrant,studentsmustbeCatholic,scoreinthecollegepreprangeonthePlacementTestand
