Punta de Mita is a stunningly beautiful peninsula, 25 miles North of the International Airport of Puerto Vallarta. It’s the northern extreme (punta) of the Banderas Bay and as such, it enjoys great views of the bay and amazing beaches. A dónde ir...Mismaloya

Small bay surrounded by the jungle, where the Mismaloya river finds the sea. This beach became world famous when John Huston decided to film “The Night of the Iguana” in the 60’s. It’s 13 miles South of Gustavo Díaz Ordaz Airport by the highway to Barra de Navidad.

Hermosa caleta rodeada de selva, donde el río Mismaloya desemboca en el Pacífico. Esta playa se volvió mundialmente famosa cuando John Huston decidió filmar ahí “La Noche de la Iguana” en los años 60’s. Se encuentra a 21 km al sur del Aeropuerto Gustavo Díaz Ordaz siguiendo la carretera a Barra de Navidad.

Yelapa

“Place where the waters get together”, is a small town with only a few hotels and very little electricity. Retirement site for artists and meeting point for hippies. It’s 27 miles South of Puerto Vallarta but to get there you need to take a water taxi at Boca de Tomatlán.

“Lugar donde se juntan o se encharcan las aguas”, es un pueblo escondido con unos cuantos hotelitos y escasa electricidad. Lugar de retiro de artistas y punto de reunión de hippies. Se encuentra a 43 kms al sur de Puerto Vallarta, para llegar a Yelapa es necesario tomar una panga en Boca de Tomatlán.

Rincón de Guayabitos“The biggest natural swimming pool in the world”, of a mile and a half length and 25 yards wide, with its easy waves and warm water all year round make of this little town, the perfect place to practice aquatic sports. 28 miles North of Gustavo Díaz Ordaz Airport by the highway to Tepic.

“La alberca natural más grande del mundo”, de poco más de 2 kms de longitud por 30 mts de ancho, sus olas tranquilas y tibias todo el año, hacen de este pequeño pueblo el lugar ideal para practicar deportes acuáticos. A 45 km al norte del Aeropuerto Gustavo Díaz Ordaz por la carretera a Tepic.
