Dear Confreres,
I wish you all a very happy and fruiul Advent Season. We have closed the door of Mercy as
we have completed the year of Mercy but through the Apostolic leer on ‘Mercy and
Misery’ the Pope invites us to keep the door of our hearts open and be merciful to those who
are in need of mercy. the physical year of Mercy may be over but the ‘Ear’ of mercy must be
kept opened to listen to the cries of mercy in our ministries all through. As Jesus has revealed
in himself to us the face of his Heavenly Father, we in turn are to connue to reveal the compassionate face of Jesus
in our relaonship with all, especially the lowly and the needy.
In the Apostolic leer, the following pointers are stressed on Mercy: Mercy meets misery and mercy does not end,
WE are called to celebrate mercy with new ventures and iniaves to reach out the misery. We are called to
promote works of mercy and preach homily as the word of mercy in order to build an inclusive Church and Mercy
has to be verbalized through acons.
The Advent season in a call for ‘paence’ and ‘acve waing’. Demonezaon has taught the rich and poor, young
and old, the need to wait in queue to get the money, limited though, to live our daily life, and the waing during
Advent is to live our life hopefully expecng the Saviour to come into our lives.
“Wishing you all a fruiul Advent season”

Having chosen the theme “I will give you Shepherds
aer my own heart” the occasion was graced by the
esteemed presence of his lordship Archbishop Filipe

General Councillor of Formaon, the confreres from
far and wide, other priests belonging to the diocese of
Goa, religious and our caring benefactors and friends.
The two main highlights of the day were the solemn
Thanksgiving Eucharist and the Felicitaon program.
The Eucharist was presided by Archbishop Filipe Neri
Ferao.
It was indeed a solemn and a meaningful liturgy
organized to thank the lord for His abundant blessings
on the instuon and on the jubilarians. This was
followed by a colourful felicitaon program, wherein
the esteemed guests were felicitated and recognized
for their role in the growth and wellbeing of the
instuon. There were few cultural items which added
meaning and colour to the celebraon. Finally the
occasion came to a close by a fellowship meal which
was blessed by Rev. Fr. Plathotam Msfs.
It is a moment to place a record of thanks and gratude
to all the persons who have played different roles in
making this instuon what it is today. We specially
thank Fr. Felix and Fr.Joe for their selfless service for a
total of 103 years in the congregaon of the Msfs.
