consortium of equipment manufacturers, food industries, research

institutes as well as public health authorities and was founded in

1989 with the aim to promote hygiene during the processing and

packing of food products.

The principal goal of EHEDG is the promotion of safe food by

improving hygienic engineering and design in all aspects of food

manufacture.EHEDG actively supports European legislation, which

requires that handling, preparation processing and packaging of

food is done hygienically using hygienic machinery and in hygien-

The Sondex-WP-range is the combination between high efficiency, intelligent design and practical

features. User-friendly pump with a long life cycle. The SWP range covers complete series of high qual-

ity and userfriendly wastewater pumps. Suitable for light industrial effluents to capable of handling

heavy duty wastewater jobs from cities and industries.

High-efficiency Motors with Unique Heating and Mois-ture ProtectionThe motors are classified according to IE2. All Sondex-WP motors

also have class H insulation, three thermal overload switches and

a moisture sensor to alert the owner of moisture intrusion before

damage is caused to the motor.

Exceptional Cooling The cooling jacket from Sondex ensures optimal cooling of the motor

in most operating conditions such as converter drive, dry installations

and low level sump where overheating is otherwise likely to occur.

Sondex dry and portable wastewater pumps are delivered with a

cooling jacket as standard. For the Sondex wet pit pumps the cooling

jacket is an optional choice.

Higher Efficiency with Adjustable Wear-ringSondex Pumps uses an axially adjustable wear-ring to reduce the hy-

draulic loss between the impeller and the wear-ring. With this feature

the wear-ring can be regularly adjusted to optimize the pump effi-

ciency when the pump starts to be affected by wear.

Customized ImpellersSondex Pumps have a wide variety of Channel 1, Channel 2, Vortex

and B-tween impellers. They are delivered standard in ductile cast iron

GJS-400-15 (GGG40) or in stainless steel (AISI 316) as an option. All the

impellers are designed for non-clogging and all the impellers fit in the

same volute and will be trimmed according to customer demands.

Oversized shafts Each pump has its own oversized shaft - oversized to ensure a smooth

running pump without vibrations even at maximum power. This en-

sures many hours of reliable service both for the parts and for the

pump as a whole. This guarantees a controlled temperature within

the pump, which also protects the shaft and the motor windings.

Fast Lock Latch Bolt and Oil Tap DrainAnother unique feature for the Sondex-WP-line is the fast lock latch

bolts that make it easy to separate the pump from the motor. This

feature is very popular with the service staff as it reduces to mainte-

nance downtime considerably. The locks are made in stainless steel.

Sondex-MP (Sondex Marine Pump) is specially developed for sea water. The impeller as well as the

housing is made of bronze which protects the pump from corrosion and makes it more wear resistant.

Sondex-IP (Sondex industrial pump) made in cast iron is delivered with an impeller in Bronze which

SANITARY PUMP

The Sondex portfolio already covers sanitary plate heat exchang-

ers. A natural extension of the product portfolio is development

of centrifugal pumps. As a first initiative Sondex has developed

the S-SP pumps primarily aimed at the sanitary industry.

- All motors fit into all pumps though the modular system which

tors can be easily mounted without any use of special tools, due

to the same shaft size on all pumps.

- All motors are high-efficient aluminium motors with IE2 ap-

proval.

- Other motors can be supplied according to customer demands.

Volute placed behind the impellerThe volute is behind the impeller and the forces from the impel-

ler will not inflect the volute. This ensures a more steady process

and a continuous speed of the media being pumped.

Low noise level and NPSHThe volute is built into the pump house behind the impeller. This

ensures a low NPSH and a low noise level. Also a low NPSH level

ensures a careful handling of the media being pumped.
