English Communication portsIf the rear panel of your UPS has
acommunication port (markedcom.port), you can use MGE UPSSYSTEMS
power management softwareto monitor your UPS from yourcomputer and
automatically shut downyour system in the event of a powerfailure
(see the other side of this sheet).

Serial PortTo use the power management softwarewith your UPS
(under Windows 95/98,Windows 2000, Linux, Unixware, NovellNetware,
etc.), interconnect the serialports of your UPS and your PC
usingthe cable that comes with the UPS.You may then install MGE UPS
SYSTEMSSolution-Pac software.
Data line protectionIf your UPS is fitted with ports markeddata
line protection, you can protectyour hardware against voltage
surgesand other power disturbances that maybe carried by data lines
(telephone, faxand modem lines, computer networks,etc.).Just
connect the data line using thecable that comes with the UPS,
followingthe instructions and diagrams providedin the UPS user
manual.
Port USBSi vous souhaitez utiliser des fonctionslogicielles de

raccordez le port USB delonduleur un port USB de votreordinateur

utilisant le cordon fourni eten suivant les instructions/schmas
dumanuel utilisateur de votre onduleur.

Under Windows 2000 or Apple MacOS > 9.0.4, any MGE UPS
SYSTEMS UPSfitted with a USB port is detected andtaken into account
automatically by theWindows 2000 power managementmodule.
However, for advanced features, youcan instal MGE software
forWindows 2000 or Mac OS.
