Making it to orderEveryday we make our products in small batches with fresh

ingredients by hand. Mass production and warehousing monthsworth of inventory is simply not what we do. We make products ona just-in-time basis to ensure that everything delivered to your localLUSH or your front door freshly made. Its quite likely that productpurchased today is just days or hours away from its creation. This isespecially true with bio-fresh face masks.

Real people make LUSH with their own hands. We measure, mix andmould our products ourselves. No massive machinery or computerconsoles just a few well-placed mixing and filling machines. In fact,a tour of our factory would reveal that we are more like a big, bustlingrestaurant kitchen than a cosmetics factory.

Keeping it freshAbout 65% of our products are unpreserved. We do this by makingproducts solid wherever possible. For those bottled and pottedproducts with higher water content, a preservative is required so theydont become contaminated by common bacteria in our homes.

We use only two preservatives (methylparaben and propylparaben)in the lowest possible amounts, often the last two ingredients on thelist. These are the safest and mildest to be found and have beenused in cosmetics for 60 years.

Committed to freshness, we sell preserved products for a maximumof four months after theyre made. Total shelf life is just 14 months.

We strongly encourage our customers to read and compare labels(on everything). What are the ingredients? Why are they there?When was it made? When should it be used by? Who made it? Thedifferences are compelling.

Pouring a soap, mixing a cream, creatinga fragrance or rhythmically pressing a

thousand shampoo bars by hand gives ourlives meaning.It makes us proud. So proud, we like to tell
