This year we were privileged to receive the support of 11 Defence personnel who spent time inside every one of our classrooms. They were able to share with the students what it is like to work in the Australian Defence Force. Following the classroom visits, we had our official ANZAC ceremony. To see the Defence personnel saluting during the singing of our National Anthem really helped to raise awareness of the respect and pride we should all have for our country. Our students are now more aware of how Defence personnel, both past and present, have helped to maintain our way of life.

SPORTCongratulations again to Joshua J, Toby B, and Jackson S. for their effort and perseverance last Wednesday at the Wagga Multi-Sports Day. We all had a wonderful day learning cricket, NRL, golf, soccer, AFL and softball skills. Thanks to the parents and grandparents for coming along to support our students as well.

We sent boys and girls to the Wagga PSSA Touch Footy trials on Monday. They may not have been selected, but they enjoyed the experience and could appreciate the high level of skills some students have in our area, which is a credit to public schools. Don’t forget to register your child for the Run4Fun/Cross Country event this Friday. We plan to start the event at about 11.45am, but the weather forecast is for rain later this week. If it is wet, please check our Facebook page for the postponed message. Students may wear their sport house colours for the race and if they have asthma, please ensure they carry their puffer.
