Pulaski County Homemakers Newsletter
January-February 2019
Dear Pulaski County Extension Homemaker:
Congratulations to you all for all of the recruiting of new members for the Pulaski
County Extension Homemakers for the 2018-2019 year. We have a total of 25 new
members this year! Thanks so much for each of your efforts to increase our
membership.
I hope each of you are having a great 2019 year and are ready for a big ending to our
Extension Homemaker year. We have lots of activities going on at the Extension
Office and invite you to get involved with any of the activities . If one of your New
Year’s Resolutions goals was to become more healthy, then you may want to join a
exercise class that is just for seniors as they are low impact exercise that everyone can
do.
If you need to walk more, then check out some of the local areas in Somerset that
offer places for you to walk. Here you will find lots of people walking. Some of our
churches in the county also have activity centers where you can walk. Don’t forget
you need to keep those muscles in motion.
If your goal is to loose weight then check out your local area for more opportunities
or give us a call at the Extension Office and we will be happy to provide you with
local program information. We all need to stay healthy and only you can control your
body.
Our Homemaker Clubs Who Shared December Celebrations
The Meadowlarks Extension Homemakers enjoyed their
Christmas luncheon at the
Old Town Grill. They also

the students at the
Migrant Lake Cumberland Head Start Children. After the
meal, the home-

gifts to each of the
students. The club
also purchased shoes for all the migrant students at the
beginning of the school year.

ed recorded “children’s books” and other chil-
