Introduction MyCase allows you to track the status and new case developments for specific cases. You may view case updates on your MyNLRB dashboard, and you will receive email notifications of new case developments. You can configure email notifications to receive an email notification for each case development, a

weekly digest of developments for each case, or no notifications. In order to use MyCase you need to log into the website using Login.gov

Log in with Login.gov From any page of the website, click the MyNLRB link in the header. A popup box will open. Click “Sign in with Login.gov. You will be redirected away from the website to Login.gov.

Complete your login through Login.gov and you will be redirected to the public website.

Create a Login.gov Account If you do not yet have a Login.gov account, you can create one by clicking “Create an Account”. Complete the registration process and log in and you will be redirected to the Public Website.

Follow a Case There are three ways to follow a case. You can follow a case from the Search Results, the Case Page, or the My Case Dashboard.

From the Case Search Results To follow a case, find the case in the search results and click “Follow”

Once followed, the follow button will change to an Unfollow button.

From the Case Details Page Cases may be followed from the Case Details Page which can be found at https://www.nlrb.gov/case/<CASE NUMBER>. To follow a case from the Case Page, click the Follow button.

Once clicked the button will change to an Unfollow button.

From the My Case Dashboard To follow a case from the My Case Dashboard (see Navigate to the My Case Dashboard), use the form at the top of the dashboard to enter the case number you wish to follow and click “Add Case”

When the case has been followed, it will be added to the table and you will see a confirmation message.

If you enter the number of a case that does not exist or if you enter the case number of a case you are already following, you will see an error message.

Either you have entered the number of a case that does not exist or something that is not a case number.

You have entered the case number of a case you are already following.

Viewing Case Updates on the Dashboard Navigate to My Case Dashboard Go to the Dashboard While logged in, from any page on the website, click “MyNLRB” in the header. A popup box will open. Click “View Your Dashboard”.

Click on the Cases Tab The dashboard has three tabbed sections. The “My Cases” tab contains case updates for the cases you are following.

Sort Cases Click any of the blue column headers to reorder the cases in the table by the values of the chosen column. Click the same column again to reverse the sort.

Filter Cases Enter a full or partial Case Number into the case number field to filter the table to matching results. The table will find partial matches. You may use the * character as a wildcard.

Change the Number of Cases on Page You can change how many cases are shown in the table at a time using the “Items per page” drop down.

Unfollow a Case Just as there are three ways to follow a case, there are three ways to unfollow a case. You can unfollow a case from the Search Results, the Case Page, and the My Case Dashboard

From the Case Search Results To unfollow a case from the search results, find the case using Case Search and click the Unfollow button.

Once the case is unfollowed, the button will change back to a Follow button.

From the Case Details Page Cases may be unfollowed from the Case Details Page which can be found at https://www.nlrb.gov/case/<CASE NUMBER>. To unfollow a case from the Case Page, click the Unfollow button.

Once clicked the button will change to a Follow button.

From the My Case Dashboard To unfollow a case from the My Case Dashboard, (see Navigate to My Case Dashboard), find the case in the dashboard using the sort and filter features (see Sort Cases and Filter Cases) and click “Unfollow” in the far-right column.

When the case has been unfollowed, you will see a confirmation message and it will be removed from the table.

Configure Notifications By default, MyCase will send you an email notification every time there is a case development for any of your cases. You can configure how you receive your notifications. You can choose to keep the default behavior of receiving all notifications, to receive weekly digests for notifications, or to not receive any notifications.

You can also set different notification preferences for different cases. Your default preference will be used for all cases unless you set a specific preference for a case.

Configure Default Notifications on First Login When you first log in, you will be given the opportunity to set your notification preferences. You may skip this step for now, but if you do then the default behavior of sending a notification for each development will be used.

Change Default Notification If you skip the initial step or would like to change your preference later, there is a link above the table of case developments that will allow you to configure your preferences. Navigate to the My Case Dashboard and click “Configure Default Notifications”

You will see the same form as before, only this time you will not have an option to skip the step. Change your settings and click “Apply to All Cases” which will set your selection as the default for all cases except those for which you have configured custom settings.

Configure Notifications for a Case You can customize your notification preferences for each individual case under the My Cases tab on your MyNLRB dashboard. Locate the notifications column. The values in this column will indicate how the case is currently configured to deliver notifications. “Default” means that the case will use the default setting you configured when you first logged in or set when you clicked “Configure Default Notifications.” “All” means that you will receive a notification for each case development immediately as

soon as it is available. “Digest” means that you will receive a weekly digest of updates for this case. “None” means you will receive no email notifications for this case.

To change the case’s notification settings, click the value in the column.

You will see a similar form to the one you used to set your default notification. Here you can select any of the four options for a given case (All, Digest, None, or Default). Select your preference and click “Apply”.

Notification Samples Sample Digest Notification Once a week (on Monday morning), you will receive an email that looks like this for each case that you follow and have configured to receive digest notifications:

Sample Case Development Notification Each time there is a case development for cases that are configured to receive all notifications, you will receive an email that looks like this:
