RBI has quickly become one of the industry’s premiere instruments and preferred methods of inspection. The API 580 certification will add significant value to your professional credentials, demonstrating to your employers and clients that you have obtained a high level of proficiency and understanding in this very important field. API 580 certification is valid for a three-year term.

NATIONAL BOARD INSPECTOR CERTIFICATION EXAMINATION PREPARATION COURSE-Webinar

The National Board (NB) Inspector Certification Examination Preparation Course is an intense two-week (10 instructional days) course designed to prepare the participant to sit for the National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspector's Certification Examination. This course covers two subjects: - The In-service Inspector (IS) and the “R” inspector certification. A person is not required to attend the NB In-service Inspector’s course to sit for that exam. They must meet all the experience and educational requirements and be employed by a recognized inspection agency to obtain the actual IS certification. All other NB certifications require the applicant to attend the NB course for that certification. Owner/users who have sent their inspectors to above course have found they are better prepared for the exam than just attending NB’s course. These Owner/user also feel their people learn more about their actual job function and have received better instruction in researching and navigating the Codes and Standards. The American Petroleum Institute (API) initiated a Pressure Vessel Inspector Certification Program to improve management control of process unit operation, repair, and maintenance; reduce the potential for inspection delays resulting from regulatory requirements; and provide a continued high level of safety through the use of inspectors specialized in process equipment. The program promotes self- regulation and establishes a uniform national program that will assist state and local governments in pressure vessel regulations.

NACE CUI - CORROSION UNDER INSULATION

Corrosion under insulation (CUI) is a severe form of localized, external corrosion that most commonly occurs on insulated carbon and low alloy steel and stainless-steel equipment that operate at high temperatures at or below 175°F.

CUI is most prevalent in the chemical/petrochemical, refining, offshore, and marine/maritime industries. If left undetected, CUI can result in catastrophic leaks or explosions, equipment failure, prolonged downtime due to repair or replacement, and safety and environmental concerns.
