Surveillance StorytellingStudio Seminar in Public Space, MIT Spring 2015

ConceptThe seminar provided students with the opportunity to respond to issues encountered at Asbru, a former military base in Iceland. My work focused on public awareness of surveillance in public space, by pro-totyping and installing an installation at MIT. Arduino sensors triggered sounds as people walked past, altering them to the presence of a surveillance cam-era. After being denied Installation by the Campus police, the work rapidly shifted gears, morphing into a temporary installation exploring historic narratives of surveillance on campus.
