STAFF TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS
COMPILED BY:
“Working Together For Best Quality Healthcare”
Message from the Managing Director Public Hospitals Authority
Herbert H. Brown
The challenges associated with the changing nature of work and workplace environment are as real for the Public Hospitals Authority (P.H.A.) and its institutions, as it is for many other organizations.
In this regard, rapid change requires a skilled, knowledgeable workforce with employees who are adaptive, flexible and focused on the future.
The Public Hospitals Authority is therefore committed to promoting and providing the training and professional development of its employees to ensure that there is a cadre of staff with the necessary skill set, qualifications, and expertise to deliver optimum, quality healthcare and services.
This commitment to staff development is evidenced by the authority’s authorization of education assistance, ranging from In-Service Training Awards, Special Conference and In-House Training Programs, some of which are outlined in this document.
It is anticipated that as you take advantage of these training opportunities, your capacity to deliver direct, or indirect patient care, goods or services, is enhanced.
The organizational Human Resources Training and Development Units, Continuing Education Units and National Emergency Medical Services collaborated to organize comprehensive training programs that will augment your present skills and also provide new skills to assist you in the execution of your daily duties.
On behalf of the Executive Management, it is our hope that you will avail yourselves to the opportunity to embrace the training opportunities, as we continue “Working Together, for Best Quality Healthcare.”
