An outline of the steps you will undertake to evaluate the program you have
proposed
Step 1: engaging stakeholders
The stakeholders in the public health includes the sponsors, partners, funding officials,
the workers managers and the administration.it is important to involve each member to ensure
their ideas are heard and no one feels left out. This ensures that all the important aspects are
discussed and approved by all the parties involved (Palacios, 2007).
Step 2: describing the program
In this step mission and objectives of the project are laid down. All the stakeholders
involved lay down a foundation with what the purpose of the program is and what their
expectations from the programs are. The strategies for achieving this including finances are also
discussed (Palacios, 2007).
Step 3: focusing the evaluation design
All the designs may be good but not all of them may be best for the program. The
purpose of this step is to evaluate and agree on which one to use. Taking time and resources into
consideration and researched information about the designs the best is agreed upon and it’s ready

for implementation. This process is important as it helps to assess the relationship between the
activities and the consequences that may occur from the designs used.
Step 4: gathering credible evidence
From the purpose of the program, there questions that need to be addressed, motives and
doubts. Information is gathered whether primary or secondary to satisfy all the stakeholders need
for accurate knowledge. The information gathered should be credible and accurate. All the
stakeholders are encouraged to participate.
Step 5: justifying conclusions
Each stakeholder has standards and when the research is done they have to go back and
review whether they agree with the information collected. They have to show whether they
would recommend the conclusions drawn from the gathered information (Rasmussen, 2009).
Step 6: ensuring use and sharing lessons learned
This is the last step which involves implementation of the lessons learn from the
program. The purpose of the program should be met otherwise it would be work done for
nothing. It is therefore important to make sure one learns something.
An evaluation design for your program.
The utility design would be great to ensure that all the users involved in this process are
satisfied. The values that they hold are taken into consideration too. Feasibility is another design
that would be used to ensure that the information gathered is correct and viable. Propriety design
on the other end looks at the information at the ethical end. How ethical the details is very
important. Lastly is the accuracy. The information just have to be accurate (Rasmussen, 2009).
Running head: PUBLIC HEALTH PROGRAM 5
An identification and collection of data to evaluate your program.
There are many data collection methods including quantitative and qualitative methods.
For this case the best one would be questionnaires. They help to gather data from a large number
of people and saves time and money ensuring quality information collected.
An explanation of the method determined for collecting the data.
The importance of this method is because it is cost effective especially for a large
number of people. They are also easy to analyze and to store for future reference. Many people
are familiar with questioners making it easy to be used by many and at ease.
Conclusions from the data and justification of those conclusions
The health program is important and practical. The process ensure that the results are
gathered effectively and accurately. Due to research and cooperation of all the stakeholders the
information gathered can really be useful. Since the data collected is from many people from
the questioners filled then it means it is reliable and can be used at all times.it is there for a great
program and should be recommended to the participants to use it.
Recommendations for improvements to your program and a plan to communicate
those recommendations
For improvements for this program there should be more than one method of data
collection used to make sure there’s variety. The participants should also use third party to
ensure that they get views from the outside parties which are not directly involved in the
program. The plan should be able to improve the lives of the parties improved and ensure there is
effective health strategies learned. The existing programs should be improved to ensure better

living standards and accomplished goals. The health program is practical and therefore should be
used in a wider range to ensure better health results (Lesser, 2010).
