    June 2013

    Activity Summary:

    There were nineteen(19) burglaries reported in June 2013. There were thirteen(13) burglaries reported

    during the same time frame in 2012. This is a 46% increase from 2012 to 2013. Eleven (11), or 58%, of theincidents involved residentiallocations.

    Twelve (12) incidents, or 63%, involved unforced entry.

    Seven (7) incidents,or 37%, were discovered on a Tuesday.

    Six (6) incidents, or 32%, were discovered between the hours of1600 1959.

    Ten (10) incidents are openfor further investigation, four (4) incidentshave been closed with leadsexhausted, one (1) has been closed by arrest, two (2) have been closed due to the victim choosing not to

    prosecute, one (1) has been closed unfounded and one (1) is inactive.

    Historically, HPD has an average of 20 burglaries during the month of June with a current threshold of 13 to 27. ThisJune, we were within thethreshold with 19 reported burglaries.

    Forecast for July:The average number of burglaries for the month ofJuly is 21 plus or minus 5. By the end of July, there is a 68%

    chance HPD will have received between 16 and 26 reported B&Es/burglaries.
