Coming Spring Semester, the MSc2Public Building Studio explores thefuture of the corporate office building. The Covid-19 pandemic has abruptly challenged a decade of corporate realestate and workplace design decisionsby calling into question the purpose oflarge centralized office locations. Also, thefunction of the office is shifting away from traditional work processes and oversightto more collaborative, educationaland social needs of a growing hybridworkforce. The studio will reimagine theurban office in its scale and design of thework place, developing strategies in whichcollective spaces can be publicly sharedwith urban residents. Additionally, this newtypology could facilitate more high-quality connections.
