Welcome to NAPEX 2007 Welcome back collectors! We work all year to bring to NAPEX (National Philatelic Exhibitions of Washington, DC, Inc.) the best from our past shows and a touchof something new. Yourparticipation makes all of our efforts worthwhile.

At this, our 33rd stamp show, the theme is Celebrating the 400th Anniversary of the Establishment of Jamestown, Virginia. There is a special exhibit from the National Postal Museum displaying the 1907 Jamestown Certified Plate Proofs in the main ballroom. Our engraved Souvenir Card, show covers, and cancels illustrate this theme. Our show is held under the auspices of the American Philatelic Society as part of their World Series of Philately stamp exhibits. This is our 12th year at the McLean Hilton at Tysons Corner.

Show Chairman Darrell Ertzberger and his committee present our Literature and Philatelic Competition. Frames 1-2 show the cover pages of the literature entries, which can be viewed at Table C.

We are proudto have two distinguished international philatelic judges on our jury- Christine A. Earle from Thorpe, Surrey, UnitedKingdom andHenrik Mouritsen from Oldenburg, Germany.

We are also very pleased to welcome the Scandinavian Collectors Club, Sports Philatelists International, and the Society of Indo-China Philatelists, three major societies holding their annual conventions at our show. These societies and their varied activities define this weekend and are listed throughout the program. Visit their Society tables in the Atrium and check out their exhibits and special meetings.

In addition, we have two First Day Ceremonies scheduledfor Friday. Theuni ted States Postal Service is issuing a 69$ Okefenokee Swamp airmail stamp and the United Nations is issuing a set of six stamps entitled Peaceful Visions. The ceremonies will be held at Martinique's on the lobby level.

We hope our exciting program, together with those of our participating dealers & agencies, advertisers, volunteers, and the hotel staff, results in the area's best philatelic event of the year. Enjoy the show. Welook forward to having you come see us again in June 2008.
