SYNKROSoil is life
Saving time and costs is the top priority when cultivating land today. SYNKRO two- or three-
gang cultivators, available with a wide range of rear rollers, create the ideal germination
conditions. The two SYNKRO series are designed so that they can be used for both shallow and
deep soil cultivation (up to 300 mm / 11.8").
The objective of the three-gang cultivator is to produce an especially fine structure in order to
promote the desired results during mulch drilling. The shares cut through the whole soil surface,
producing a very good mixing effect. The fine crumbling action reduces cavities, effectively
combating the reproduction of slugs as a result. The fine soil at seed placement depth ensures
optimum germination conditions.

SYNKRO 1000 / 1000 S
Following the harvest, residues need to be worked in evenly so decomposition gets a head
start. This mixture of straw and earth creates optimum conditions for soil life. Pöttinger SYNKRO
cultivators have been developed to meet today's stubble cultivation needs – compact machines
for shallow and intensive mixing seedbed preparation.
These llow draft, compact two-gang cultivators are designed for lighter weight tractors with
lower lifting power.

Headstock geometry must match the tractor's hitch if optimum penetration performance is to
be achieved.
The solid Cat. 2 or Cat. 3 cross shaft gives two coupling heights, depending on the tractor's
tyres.
The top link can be mounted in 4 different positions. The angle of the headstock is also
adjustable to achieve sufficient lifting clearance. As a result the implement can be adapted to
different sizes of tractor.
Hitches up to any tractor
Robust design
The 1000 series is equipped with a base frame for two rows of tines and mounting brackets for
a wide range of rear rollers. The frame is designed to withstand the stress of continuous heavy
duty operation.
The angle of the SYNKRO
headstock is adjustable. This
enables an ideal match to any
tractor. This optimized hitch-
ing geometry improves ground
clearance on headland turns
and during transport.
3.15 x 3.15" / 80 x 80 mm frame section on standard version, 3.94 x 3.94" / 100 x 100 mm on
S version.
16.93" / 430 mm tine spacing, 29.53" / 750 mm gang spacing and 29.53" / 750 mm or 32.28"
/ 820 mm frame height (S version) ensure trouble-free operation.
Concave discs level the surface behind the tines.
Thanks to a tine spacing of 16.93" / 430 mm, the 1000 series has a low power requirement
and the two-gang design brings the centre of gravity close to the tractor, meaning less lifting
power is required.
The SYNKRO 4700 SH is equipped with a hydraulic folding system.
6
The tine spacing of 16.93" / 430 mm requires a special share shape to ensure full penetration.
Pöttinger uses a split duck foot share in combination with a chisel point.
These reversible chisel points can also be repositioned to make best use of material wear.
Shares and chisels feature 0.39" / 10 mm thick material for a long service life.
Edge shares turned inwards preventing the formation of side ridges.

Option:
For particularly shallow
working the combination
of a flat wing share with
double-diamond point is
recommended.
7
The 1030 series cultivators feature a light and compact construction. The centre of gravity is
very close to the tractor. Higher under frame clearance provides plenty of space. SYNKRO 1030
nova machines are equipped with overload protection. What is new is the central adjustment
system at the front for setting the working depth: easily accessible for safer and more convenient
adjustment is guaranteed. In addition, the weight of the rear roller can be transferred to the tines
to ensure penetration even in dry and hard ground conditions.
SYNKRO 1030
The three-gang SYNKRO
1030 cultivators are ideal for
shallow and deep stubble
cultivation with tractors from
100 hp upwards. They offer
technical solutions for even
more efficient operation and
convenient adjustment.

Non-stop cultivation on stony or very hard ground.
The triggering force of 1102 lbs / 500 kg diminishes as the
leg is raised – stones are not pulled up or loosened. This
protects both the cultivator and the tractor.
On the SYNKRO nova the first row of tines is located as far
forward as possible to bring the weight as close as possible
to the tractor.
The concave discs on the SYNKRO nova are also equipped
with maintenance-free overload protection.

Tines give the soil air to breathe
The mounting legs on the 1030 series have been engineered
into an arc for a perfect working angle.
The mountings reach right down the leg to provide a high
level of stability.
The tines are mounted on shear bolts (except nova version).
There are two settings for matching penetration peformance
to the operating conditions, even on dry and hard ground.
SYNKROs feature proven
share geometry for uniform
working in and intensive
mixing of harvest residues,
liquid manure, muck and
mulch.
SYNKRO cultivators are
well-known for cutting right
through the whole area,
perfect mixing in and excellent
crumbling, which is why they
have been so successful.
Mounting legs
Tine angle adjustment
As standard equipment the SYNKRO 1030 generation is fitted with a chisel point/duck foot
combination. The narrow tine spacing of 10.63" / 270 mm ensures optimum mixing-in of
harvest residues – an ideal prerequisite for mulch drilling.
The duck foot wing shares can be mounted in two positions using one bolt. For deeper work
the duck-feet wings can be removed by undoing just one bolt on each leg.
The lightly curved guide plates mix the flow of earth from the side - an intensive rolling
movement without flinging soil up into the frame. The outer tines are fitted with edge guide
plates.
Hardened steel points and armoured duck foot wing shares are available to extend service life
even further.
For especially shallow work Pöttinger offers straight tines with a quick-change system or
double-diamond points with duck foot wing shares.
For deep loosening work down to 11.81" / 300 mm a narrow share with quick-change system,
chisel points or double-diamond shares can be implemented on their own.

Setting up for different soil
conditions is quick and
straightforward.
The rear rollers assume the role of depth control for the cultivator and the concave discs.
Working depth can quickly be adjusted using a matrix system at the front without risk to
the operator.
SYNKRO 1030The highest level of convenience
The new depth adjustment for the rear roller enables the working depth to be adjusted quickly
and easily using a straightforward pin-in-hole system.
Thanks to the tapered frame the adjustment system is easily accessible.
You only need to adjust one point on the left and right at the front – even on wide, folding
cultivators.
The position of the rear roller is locked to provide an
additional transfer of weight from the rear roller to the
stubble cultivator.
11
Ingenious technology
The solid longitudinal beams taper together at the headstock. The result is a perfect power
transfer across the whole working width.
The tractor's pulling power is transferred from the lower linkages to the mountings for the rear
roller.
Perfect power transfer
The concave discs for levelling are scalloped. They are guided by the rear roller and adjusted
together in parallel; they can also be depth-adjusted in pairs.
A six-lip labyrinth seal provides completely dust tight protection for the ball bearings.
The bearing is therefore maintenance-free; no complicated work required.
Edging discs are available as an option to prevent ridges forming. These can be folded
inwards to reduce height for transport and parking.
Maintenance-free concave discs
12
SYNKRO 3030The compact mounted stubble cultivator
3.94x 3.94" / 100 x 100 mm frame section made from fine-grained steel give the greatest
stability.
With longitudinal beams configured in a taper, the tractor's pulling power is transferred from
the lower linkages directly to the mountings for the rear roller.
Thanks to the tapered frame the depth adjustment system is easily accessible on both sides
without danger to the operator.
13
Tractors with up to 190 hp have a huge range of hitch geometries. The range of adjustment
on the headstock ensures excellent ground penetration and sufficient transport height.
The SYNKRO 3030 headstock
features multiple adjustment.
As a result you get a precise
match to any tractor hitch.

smaller tractors
Headstock bolted at rearStandard setting
Headstock bolted at frontfor tractors with short top linkages
The concave discs for levelling are guided by the rear roller and adjusted together in parallel;
they can also be depth-adjusted in pairs.
The optional edging discs can be folded inwards for a transport height of 9.84' / 3 m.
The compact frame is a trademark of the SYNKRO 3030. The first row of tines is very close to
the tractor for a very favourable centre of gravity.
Two lower linkage heights with Cat 2 / width 2 clevis-type mounting lugs.
The headstock angle can be adjusted and with three top linkage positions you have optimum
adaptation to any tractor.
The gang spacing of 29.53" / 750 mm and frame height of 33.46" / 850 mm guarantee
maximum clearance for harvest trash, even during deep cultivation.
14
Folding mounted cultivators
Hydraulic folding enables convenient and trouble-free road transport at a width of 9.84' / 3 m.
The cultivators are folded in two halves to achieve a low transport height.
The interlock engages automatically using a mechanical limit stop catch activated by a
hydraulic cylinder and lock pin.
The mounted and folding
stubble cultivators with
working widths between
13.12' / 4.0 m and 19.69'
/ 6.0 m can be raised for
road transport to that they
are within 9.84' / 3.0 m and
still have a low transport
height. The folding system
is equipped with automatic
mechanical transport
interlocks.
SYNKRO 4030 K / 5030 K
15
During operation the transport chassis is raised. This exerts extra load on the tines and
prevents wheel tracks in the field. Reliable penetration is therefore guaranteed on heavy, dry
and hard ground.
On both the folding mounted cultivators and the trailed versions the sturdy longitudinal beams
are tapered towards the headstock.
The result is a perfect power transfer across the whole working width.
The depth adjustment of the rear roller and concave discs can be performed quickly and
easily using a pin-in-hole system on either side of the implement.
Accessing the adjustment system with the cultivator folded down is safe and easy.
For especially smooth and uniform guidance, two large 10/75-15.3 front mounted support
wheels can be fitted as an option. Depth adjustment using ratchet top linkage.
Trailed stubble cultivators
The trailed SYNKRO
cultivators are designed
specifically for high output
stubble cultivation and general
seedbed preparation.

16
The cultivators are folded in two halves. The chassis is wide and is lowered during road
transport to provide a "low-slung" centre of gravity for excellent driving stability. The
automatic limit stop interlocks also contribute to safety on the road.
SYNKRO 4030 T / 5030 T / 6030 T
The transport chassis ensures
that the hitch and rear axle of
the tractor are not overloaded.
Trailed stubble cultivators
17
The chassis is mounted at the rear end of the frame with support struts extending to the
headstock. Perfect adjustment for the rear roller and plenty of lifting height are ensured.
500/45-17 tyres are standard, while for softer ground larger 550/45-22.5 tyres are also
available.
An air brake or hydraulic brake system is also available to provide enhanced safety at driving
speeds up to the legal limit.
The parking brake ensures that the regulations in all markets are met.
The drawbar is connected to the lower linkage and top linkage lugs. The angle adjustment of
the top linkage strut enables an ideal match to any tractor while providing optimum ground
clearance at headlands and during transport.
The lower linkages connect to the yoke with Cat. 3, width 2 or width 3 clevis-type mountings
(Cat. 4 optional).
A telescopic drawbar is also available with the full range of coupling options. This enables a
steering angle of up to 95°, up to a tractor outside width of 13.78' / 4.20 m.
The practical hose holder and parking stands are standard equipment.
Performance and convenience
Drawbar and transport chassis
can also be retrofitted.

Not all soil is the same.
Pöttinger provides a wide
range of follow-on devices
that give perfect operating
results, with the desired
crumbling structure, in any
type of soil. The whole range
of rollers features precision
manufacturing and robust
design engineering.
Rotopack rollers mix particularly intensively – for light
to heavy, non-sticky soils. Harvest trash remains on
the surface and protects the soil from drying out.
The ideal roller for working on dry, non-sticking
soil. The roller is equipped with eight strong bars to
provide the best packing effect.
Diameter 21.26" / 540 mm, 11 bars;
Diameter 25.98" / 660 mm, 12 bars.

The dual bar cage rollers have different diameters.
The pendular function ensures optimal crumbling and
adjustment to the contours of the ground.
Dual bar cage rollers
Pack ring roller
This 600 mm diameter roller is equipped with
wedge-shaped rings for increased crumbling and
compression. The knives between the rings break
up clods and clean the spaces between the rollers.
Compression in strips has the advantage that water
can be absorbed better. The right choice on dry and
heavy soil.
Knife ring roller
The packer rings are closed on either side and have
a diameter of 21.65" / 550 mm with 8 rings per metre
of working width (4.92" / 125 mm spacing). The roller
leaves behind compression in strips, promoting water
absorption and soil aspiration. The ideal roller on
stony, damp ground with large quantities of organic
matter.
Rubber packer roller
This roller is ideal for widely varied ground conditions.
Especially for use with trailed implements where the
load-bearing capacity of other rollers is near the limit.
