PTC Windchill PDMLink Integrations to Altium Designer

Introduction and Overview

XPLM provides a complete suite of PTC Windchill PDM Link

Integrations for electrical and electronic ECAD Systems as well

as further integrations for software, documents and article man-

agement.

The integrate2 products provide industry-independent integra-

tions for Altium Designer and therefore extend the efficiency of

PTC Windchill PDM Link solutions and the Product Data Man-

agement. They support designing mechanical structures and

creating appropriate BOMs.

The PTC Windchill PDM Link is the central administrative unit for

the Product Data Management. integrate2 connects Altium De-

signer with the “Centre” and therefore enables you to use the

comprehensive range of services of the PTC Windchill PDM Link

such as management of access authorizations, workflows, pro-

jects, articles, documents etc. and the Altium Designer incl.

mechanical 3D installation space. So you are able to control a

variety of ECAD relevant product- and process data in the PTC

Windchill PDM Link.

Moreover, integrate2 enables the holistic traceability in the prod-

uct development processes. It provides you with cost and time

savings and avoids input errors through automated processes.

PTC Windchill PDM Link synchronizes and controls electrical

project data as well as mechanical data globally and company-

Synchronize parts/ components (article data)

Synchronization of electric parts between Altium Designer and

the PTC Windchill PDM Link. The synchronization is carried out

via corresponding parts classes with optional display of associ-

ated data sheets and part status. In addition, the articles will be

marked in color, depending on availability. Attributes, which are

to be synchronized, as well as their balancing direction between

Altium Designer and PTC Windchill PDM Link are configurable.
