Terminal Management & Operation

Since its establishment, innovations and investments in technology, terminals and

manpower have always been the foundation

of PTB‘s success in the transportation

industry.

Tehran Container Terminal

TCT is the terminal operator of the PTB Group in Iran. TCT was founded in 1972 and since then

has built and operated over 400,000 sqm of

customs bonded container terminals and

warehouses in Iranian ports, border and inland

cities.

Bandar Abbas Shahid Rajaee Port Container Shipping Co. ConShip was established in 1971 as the first

container transportation company in Iran.

In 2006 ConShip restarted its activities, focusing on

sea and dry ports, including investment, design,

construction and management of Iranian ports

and inland container terminals.

PTB Multi-purpose Terminal

PTB logistics terminal was built in Shahid Rajaee

port complex in Bandar Abbas, in 1999.

The terminal has its own railway siding and

is connected to the national rail network.

With total site area of 100,000 sqm; the

terminal has two hangar warehouses with

6,000 sqm each and a 450 m long concrete

platform for wagons and trucks, where 30

wagons per working shift can be handled.

The daily capacity is 3,500 tons of cargo.

State-of-the-art container terminals at the

heart of Bandar Abbas container port

(Shahid Rajaee): where, 120,000 TEUs of

containerized goods are handled annually.

The terminal complex has its own railway

siding and is equipped with modern facilities

and container handling equipment.

Furthermore, PTB has off-duck contract with number of major shipping lines as well as NVOCCs for storage and handling of their empty containers. Among customers, PTB has provided Terminal services to Maersk, HMM, Hanjin, China Shipping, COSCO, PIL.

Bandar Abbas PTB Rail Container Terminal

This terminal is constructed in an 80,000

sqm area with 5,000 m of private railway,

utilizing three gantry cranes with an

annual loading/discharge capacity of

350,000 TEUs.

It is distinctive in Iran and playing a

remarkable role when using railway for

moving containers in and out of the

country and CIS region.

Bulk Rail Terminal Shunting Yard

This terminal has been designed and constructed for annual

handling capacity of 2 million tons, which is specialized in

discharging of bulk cargo from bulk carrier wagons directly to

containers or trucks to load into bulk carrier vessels.

Large volume of bulk cargo including grain from Kazakhstan and Russia, chemical products and minerals from CIS countries and Iran, need a practical and economical mode of land transportation, markedly rail haulage.

This has motivated PTB Group to design and invest in this project in port of Shahid Rajaie, thanks to its location at the entrance point of North-South Corridor and the main junction point for international trade.
