Our services start at an early stage, the assessment of your

project idea. Whatever is required for putting your project idea

on a solid basis feasibility studies, market analysis, business

plans, financing structure and concepts, or the search for off -

take opportunities and strategic investors we do the work and

devise strategies for the central questions to allow you to

operate in your particular market with greater economical

value.

As a successful general contractor, we integrate technology and

provide customized EPC packages to deliver industrial plants on

a turnkey or partial turnkey basis. This involves all associated

major and minor components. Our services as an EPC contractor

include basic and detail plant design and engineering,

procurement and expediting services with our global network,

and turnkey plant construction and installation, with our own

equipment and construction staffs in Indonesia and reliable

partners.

Our services do not end with the handover of your turnkey plant

- we also offer many years of experience in supervision and

maintenance services. In Indonesia, we have our own workshop

and heavy equipments in Cilegon area staffed by highly

qualified personnel to provide after - sales services. Fabrication

and installation of equipments, shutdown and maintenance,

repair work, refurbishment, and supervision work are kept on

standby here.

Additionally, we offer standalone basic and detail engineering

packages to make sure that your plant will run smoothly and

efficiently. Moreover, we offer decades of local experience in

The skills PT Ferrostaal Indonesia uses to build plants as general contractor form the

basis of our operations in the industrial project business. We are active in the power

industry, oil & gas industry, petrochemical industry, oleochemicals, and other selected

industries.

Power plants up to 1.200 MW in size contribute to most of our

power activities, but we also supply diesel and biodiesel power

plants with an output of up to 200 MW. Under the umbrella of

Ferrostaal AG, PT Ferrostaal Indonesia offers EPC contracting

services for simple-cycle gas turbine and combined-cycle power

plants. PT Ferrostaal Indonesia also offers construction /

erection services for steam coal power plants. Our range of

services varies depending on the project. This either covers the

whole power plant with all associated plant components or just

the balance of plant. Accordingly, we act as a general contractor

or a consortium partner.

PT Ferrostaal Indonesia serves customers in the downstream

sector of refining and processing with a comprehensive service

and product portfolio. In cooperation with a strategic partner

we offer comprehensive solutions, including distillation,

extraction, evaporation, and absorption systems. Beside

construction and project management, our services include

engineering, execution, and the supply of active equipment

such as columns, structure packings, trays, distributors and

other column internals.

Ferrostaal AG and its partners have been actively investing into

Methanol operations and have evolved, with 5.1 mill tons of

Methanol production, internationally marketing its own

product. Locally, PT Ferrostaal Indonesia develops and will

realize gas based downstream investment, for instance a

Methanol production facility, in a partnership with a strong

local strategic investor. Furthermore, in other gas based

downstream industry such as fertilizer plant, PT Ferrostaal

Indonesia acts as an investor and/or EPC contractor.

In the markets for oleochemicals, we act as partner for the

realization of downstream oleochemical plants covering

refinery, fatty acid, fatty alcohol, methyl ester, and detergent

plants. In cooperation with partners we develop, manage, and

realize oleochemical plants, which are financially profitable in

the long term. We strive for an exclusive cooperation with raw

material suppliers, leading technology partners, and investors

in our projects.

PT Ferrostaal Indonesia is also active in other selected industries,

such as coal upgrading, metal refining, steel, and other selected

industries. In coal upgrading, together with our strategic partners,

we offer an internationally proven solution to increase the

economical value of your low rank coal by reducing the water

content. For these selected industries, we offer a wide range of

portfolio depending on our customers need and request.

We bring different partners together for constructing large-

scale industrial plants, some for the duration of the project and

some for much longer than that. One of our most important

contributions as a general contractor consists of coordinating

the work of all these partners and ensuring the high quality of

the resulting products and services.

All of our services centre on complex technical products. Our

task as a general contractor consists of reducing the complexity

of associated processes for our customers. For example, in the

power industry as a general contractor we produce individually

tailored and turnkey power plants for our customers. This

involves all associated major and minor components. In general

cooperation with companies, we bear the responsibility for EPC,

as well as for maintenance and services. Our customers receive a

turnkey power plant from us.

As a project developer, we deal with everything from the initial

feasibility study, the search for a site and the selection of

suitable technologies, through to planning permission,

financing, construction and plant operation.

As a partner, we bring our expertise to selected projects by

becoming stakeholders in the operating company. In this way,

we can give our customers long-term support while sharing in

their success.

Project development begins with the project idea. With the aid

of feasibility studies, market analyses and viability studies, we

establish whether or not an idea is economically sustainable.

When a project meets these criteria, we focus on selecting

qualified project partners, i.e. suitable suppliers, investors, local

partners, buyers for the end products and, equally, partners for

the engineering and construction of the plant or production

line.

We take up the role as general contractor in almost all of our

operational areas. We carry the overall responsibility for a

project. In plant construction this usually means we are the EPC

contractor managing the engineering, procurement and

construction of a plant. This also includes setting-up operations

and handing off the turnkey installation to the customer.

A cooperative relationship with the customer, suppliers and

funding partners based on transparency and trust is essential

here. An instrument we use daily in technical and commercial

project management is multi-tiered risk management. Apart

from the quality and credit assessment of sub-contractors and

suppliers, this also comprises a range of internal inspection

processes, one of them being contract reviews.
