    Foreword

We all feel a genuine thirst for real. Perhaps for havingtoo often confronted with falsehood and distortion weappreciate not only around but, especially, within us.Our longing for spirituality is saturated both sublimejoys and devastating sufferings, progress and flightsunprecedented as a stubborn and permanent self-deception, of overflowing at par ecstasy of tenuouslandings sublime and extraordinary moments that areimmediately tempered by the tasks of our daily lives. Also spiritually, we are not free to learn by the old

method of trial and error that has advanced both thescience and the art and technique, as our heart isaccumulated precious -perhaps momently- certainties, which in any way we can hold. There is never a definitive step who is not soimmediately preceded by another. It is the need forreliable and indubitable results that we believe in that

sort of spiritual materialism that gangrene our soul.

On the other hand, something in us knows that oursuffering will not end until the release is complete andgenuine. Substitutes do not fit the true transformational

change that comes from an integral connection with theexperience of the real.We can not have our spiritual progress at anycrossroads, for attractive, comfortable and seductivethis may seem. Believe have reached is perhaps theworst traps. All return is learning.I will be transitory to what never ceased to beAwakening means to realize that is still long andwinding road that remains. There is no way, just walking1.

Production of about 1,400 daily new neurons(neurogenesis) and the establishment of new

connections and synaptic circuits among them(neuroplasticity) exponentially multiply our currentlearning ability, surpassing the natural decline thatinvolves the aging process.

Our four brain is plastic and moldable to the guidelinesso powerful as the focus of our attention on that area ofour life we want to change or improve tool. Newconnections are reaffirmed in a new epigeneticrethinking born of repetition, novelty, excitement and

concentration on the task. That which was born a day like a harmless way, thanksto the magic of neuroplasticity eventually definitely beour, daily, automatic, unconscious, since its recurrentactivation is accompanied by the reinforcement of awell-balanced nutrition, authentic relationships and

Does saddest Monday of the year?

If bad traditional Fame Monday as the day of return toschool and professional, after enjoyed freedom duringthe weekend and the consequent lack of accumulatedsleep (weakened immune system, loss of concentrationand memory) work, we add overspending (debt) over

the Christmas period and rebates (costs of January),inclement own weather the winter period, the feeling ofguilt and lack of motivation that leaves us having failedto maintain good new year's resolutions and the need toreact to restore mood and combat seasonal depression,we have a new marketing concept to profitable, with theindisputable reason to increase sales: "Blue Monday".

That's what I tried in 2005 the advertising agencyPorter Novelli for his client, the travel agency SkyTravel, giving echo to the alleged investigation and

Accordingto the agency, the best way to combat depressing day ofthe third Monday of each January was planning (andbook) one vacation with intention to work with themotivational horizon pack, scoot travel and enjoy a

longed period of rest. The following year, good old Cliff design a new equationfor the "best" day of the year, obviously the third Fridayof June: more social interactions, mild climate, lushnature and proximity of the imagined holiday (andreserved) in the worst day of the year, but perhaps thebest for travel agents. Make no mistake, directed, seasonal depression can be a great business, not just forthose who work as psychologists. There has to bedistributed to all wealth. In any case, enjoy Monday"sadder" and every day of the year, without abusingothers or manipulate their minds with pseudosciencedisguised marketing, as you see fit.

Must be life resistance? How often we are reluctant to reality, we are outraged, refusing to stay in a given situation, opposing accept thecurrent state of affairs. Not accept this actually costs alot of energy, creates a lot of turbulence in the heart andhead, until worn by exhaustion in that vain struggle tochange the world.

Whenever we decided to evaluate the resistance, examine the value, the importance we attach to anevent, a situation, a person, while ignoring the historythat goes hand in hand, the meaning we give, we canonly reality naked , things as they are, withoutfurther. Life is very simple; we who the complicate.

We do not see things as they are, but colored by whatwe are. Resistance is par excellence a force of ego that

wants things to change so that they are to our liking. When deceptively seems that the human act and moveverse is always built on resistance to adversity, allsuffering disappears actually flowing from thepermanent inner work. The key is to exchange thelabyrinth path, giving priority to calm the heart. If

you're tired of resisting wear you down, trust your heartyou will return the lost energy.

And dreams… Mental ability, behavior and cognitive performance ofthe human being are closely related to the number ofhours of sleep REM (rapid eye movement), a figure thatwas changing as our ancestors evolved.

The development of skills that allowed the firstprimates go from living in trees to be on land wasaccompanied by periods of deepest dreams, but eachshorter time: life on the ground meant more threats, conflicts with other species and longer periods of timedevoted to learning that led to periods of shrinking

dreams, but the most effective time.

In order to verify that humans possess sleep patternsmore effective and shorter compared to other primates,

in a recent study (David Samson and Charles Nunn,Evolutionary Anthropology, 2016) periods dreams oftwenty-one of comparing these mammals, to determinehow long was each REM sleep phase (period in whichthe brain consolidates and stores memories). Theresults showed that REM sleep is equivalent to almost25% in humans, much higher compared to other

primates like lemurs figure, and the night monkeys (5-10% REM) which may even sleep up to 17 hours.

Less sleep allowed much longer periods of activity foracquiring and transmitting new skills and knowledge, while deep sleep was essential to distill itsconsolidation, leading to improve cognitive abilities inearly humans. Not the amount of REM sleep but hisalchemical quality that humanizes us, although this

study only strictly limited to posting it.

    Neuronal self-sabotage

Who ever thought purposes of change towards self-improvement, be found enormous capacity of our brainto sabotage the firmness of our intentions, especiallywhen it comes to replace habits that despite theirtoxicity or disabling bias, we are in the pleasantmemory.

The key to breaking our dependence on addictive circleis that the mere memory of a behavior associated with apleasurable incentive even if this were nonexistenttoday releases dopamine.

Remember what we produced pleasure in itself ispleasant and we reward.

    Learning environments

It is incomprehensible that Fifteen years after the (notso) new millennium and more than a century away fromthe proposals of Maria Montessori classrooms still existin our country with rows of desks facing a blackboard, aformat that has much more to do with the disciplinelearning, instead of being reconverted educationalspaces in diaphanous places where students accordingto their degree of maturity, capacity and development, decide where and what you want to learn, what mostattracts and interests, taking the initiative moreindependently and without equivocation.

Are really our schools motivating learning or are drivenby an inertia that keeps them waterproofed to the

uncertainties of innovation and educational change?

  • 8/18/2019 Psychological Issues 2 (an Integral Approach) - Abraham González Lara (2016)

    38/164

    - 38 -

As classrooms were conceived last century, childrencome to class, sit in a chair and simply listen and do

what the teacher tells them. It is unnatural to havestudents as young still at their desks without the abilityto move freely and find the environment in which theyfeel most comfortable. Being passive and act only underthe guidance of others no longer works.

All human beings are different and our brain works

differently. There are children who need completepeace of mind to process new information and othersthat do best in a collaborative way. Current schools haveto adapt to this reality and space design can change theway of thinking, working and react.

Classrooms structured more flexibly encourage thechild to make their own decisions. It is not about to put

wheels on chairs and tables, but to allow freedom ofmovement of the boys. It is very difficult to change thementality of the educational community, and thephysical space helps because it creates a new reality.

They will never be short of detractors who think thatempower students contravenes discipline and

encourages dissent against the guidelines of teachers.Quite the contrary, tohave different options within thesame space, such as pointingDavid Thornburg-rincones reading alone (campfires), areas for reflection(caves), areas of discussion and group work(waterholes), areas of direct application of learning in

the audiovisual exhibition (nurseries) - has been shownto stimulate curiosity and motivate meaningful learning.

The company awaits the new generations issubstantially different from the current transition- -ofsince they have to adapt to jobs that do not yet exist andidentify their shortcomings. People who independently

to learn new skills and knowledge in a multicultural, technological and globalized environment is needed.

In school exams leadership is not measured, nor theability to learn by oneself or formulas to help in the bestway possible. Nor how to find information and contrastor learn concentrate when there are many distractions.

Proactive students mark their own lines of autonomouslearning, without constant supervision by teachers. Allthat, today, still not evaluated in schools, are basic

instrumental skills in the real world tech. It is necessary to provide educational resource centersto make the rigidity of traditional classrooms acquire acomprehensive flexibility and a much more seductivedesign, allowing children to sit on the floor and interact, work in the light of a lamp post post -it with their ideas

and proposals under tables, or approaching variouseducational materials alone in the quiet inside a tube.

Teachers will appreciate the possibility of differentspaces for concentration or collaboration amongchildren, where the furniture plays a crucial role in thedistribution of the classroom.

Once past the initial suspicion, to be recycled in themethodological use of versatile, active and adapted tothe diversity spaces, and after checking the results and

increased motivation to learning, will be the firstexcited. It can even reduce the costs of change opt forlow-cost local solutions.

Interesting pioneering experiences are found in theSwedish education system, the British School Future, orthe Global Citizanship model implemented in the

schools of Chicago. We must ensure that our children learn to cope fromsmall in contact with the real world, spending 25% oftheir school day off school, visiting parks and museums, visiting companies and factories, paying in shops andcalculating the turns or knowing how food markets

work. The walls and ceilings of the school must be glass,to know whether or not it is raining or hot seasonsextend from the account. Promote in them a planetaryconsciousness, the importance of responsible civicaction and environmental sustainability.

The transformation of physical space is crucial to

change the teaching methodology and for all this tohappen the collaboration of teachers needed step. Rowsof desks, a reminder of the educational past. School, high school, college, a place you will want to return eachmorning to learn not only more but better.

It would be interesting also to have the magical abilityto capture the attention and influence the decisions ofour partners and verify know that this influence occursin such a subtle and convincing and persuasive manner.

We must find a sure way to emphasize theattractiveness of our proposal, without resorting tosubterfuge, chicanery or manipulative maneuvers, sothat we get interested in, like, convince and, somethingdifficult to achieve commitment.

Read bodiesOne of the most coveted social skills is the "bodyreading" which reveals key to a person psychologicalaspects, from the significantly using and saw her body, showing as diverse as the affirmation aspects, openingor state emotional.

Every gesture should not be analyzed in isolation, but inits full context. Crossing your arms, for example, whichis usually taken as a gesture of defense, it can also be aninstinctive way to keep warm in a cold room, or simplythat the chair where a person is has no armrests.

The meaning of a gesture can also change if you are inthe company of others. If anyone sweaty hands butnothing more than that, is not the same as if the sweat

occurs with a constant touching of face or the restlessmovement of the rest of his body.Similarly, we all have a kind of personal "normal" onwhich we move daily. In a way, observing someone, thatwould be our reference to "control", from which it ispossible to speak of other ways of being that contrastwith the baseline, to get out of the ordinary, and thatsomehow they are extraordinary. If, for example, we seethat a person greets others with some seriousness butwith a particularly effusive shown, then, well, that's anindicator of something. In the practice of body reading, is also key to note thatwe have eliminated prejudice from our own positionobserver that, contrary to popular belief, is neverobjective but may beaware , this is, we can realizeassumptions and preconceptions that we put in our eyesand defile our perception. If someone is unfriendly weprobably interpret their body language severely, andthe opposite if it is a close friend who want andappreciate.

Paradoxically, the evolution of the social has led us to anepidemic centering on the individual subject, on apreponderance of the personal, in an emphasis onglobal issues insofar as strictly affects me. As Ovidiopredicted two millennia ago, and confirmed SigmundFreud more than a century, we have designed not somuch a society, as a labile amalgam of narcissisticsubjects.

    About publisher

QyDado Publisher began in 2011 as a fevered fantasy ofthe author, in trying to provide their literary essays asomewhat more credible and professional looking.Today it has more than 30 titles behind him, alwayswithin the subjects related to the Primordial Tradition.Purple fringe is like that already appeared duplicatedand semi-hidden in the folds of the senatorial togapretexta, and clearly reflects our unconditional secret

admiration for the best of the classical world. On it appears a powerful geometric enigma, thehexahedron, under the daily way of a given dark blue, whose opposite sides always add up to the value ofseven, and that in this case appears accompanied by akind of small satellite field, which approximates the lonewhite as strategically oriented "point" which is located

on the upper side.Few people know that the Persians called their dice withthe word "chance" while the Greeks preferred the term"kubos" or "daktylethra" for this purpose. The alwaysunpredictable Roman Empire chose "Alea", whencecomes our (good or bad) luck and hackneyed "Alea iactaest" post rubik-oniano.

Nothing in the die is given randomly. The sum of itsopposite faces makes the seven missing number isfound, paradoxically, triply present. Another well

curious fact is that the side that wins -in every occasion,it is called "reality", but the opposite face in contact withthe board, acts from the "mystery" and coordinatedtogether make up a kind of truth. The "lateral" sides are always debatable, according tothe different perspective that engages in the game. When it seems that "wins" really, really is the "truth"who acts in all cases. Moreover, we expect, strict sensu, the wise reflection of Georg Christoph Lichtenberg in1790, when he said:

"It is difficult to exist in the world a strange booksmerchandise. Printed by people who do notunderstand them, sold by people who do not

understand them, bound, criticized and read by peoplewho do not understand them, and, what is even worse,

written by people who did not understand them” 2

And judge our reader, in spirit, without stopping oridiomatic expressions, if there was something big asread, and if so, keep it in your heart.

It was not our intention to contribute another flowfoolish, pretentious, mediocre and extravagant works. We can not deny it. In a mysterious way we do notunderstand well at all, we love the cube, albeit disguisedas a playful symbolism, homespun, this time-and as thefinger ring is given to us.

The textual message that named this imaginarypublisher, (could not be otherwise) is a kind ofambivalent paradox.

On the one hand warns us to take precautions, I do notreally know about what kind of threat or danger (soeveryone imagines their favorite convenience fear). On the other side is a transparent invitation to takecarefully building our own best self, a matter that weshould devote our full attention and resources possible,as it requires our utmost care. It calls us to not neglect. And to do it flawlessly3. Nor we should never take tooseriously the things we have not yet verified byexperience, not even ourselves. The latter must be takenseriously.Editorial QyDado in full quality nonexistent entity is notliable for any of the assertions and extravagances of the

authors who habitually publish it. On the contrary, theyrecommend putting total quarantine, mostly for whatmight come to pass but put on this sensitive issuecarefully enough. Notice, then, thoughtless readers-navigators.There must be some other symbolic dimensions morehidden in this curious publishing logo, but we have not

given them. Any suggestions? In short, a declaration ofintent.

    About style

As usual in our writings of the past quarter century, thetext appears interleaving intended to clarify someimages at the same obscure its true meaning, so thatshould not be underestimated in any way itsimportance. It is also important to pay attention to the initial two orthree appointments that crown the reign of eachchapter, for urging the reader to move your ass and sendtheir eyes to the source text. The surprise is usuallyguaranteed. It is not only young scholars resources andpaste to impress. Some of the texts that preceded this work can beconsulted, if it is desired to increase the information, according to the needs of the reader. As always in these cases, you must read and rereadmore than once between the lines, be aware of thenumerous winks, stop and stop when something is notunderstood. If that something is written in anotherlanguage, either dead or not, sure it is something thatdeserves a second consideration or that it is somehowimportant or necessary for the proper completion ofwork to do so.So much for the preface clarifying, honest notice tomariners. The rest of selfless effort runs the reader.
