Do PSPCL officers need a support cell ? Hello pspcl engineer brothers. With this topic i am trying to get your attraction towards problem faced by us in our day to day personal official works. When i say personal official work i mean to say our personal duty/job related work to be executed by office (mostly in head office for / by gazetted section or P&A section). With this i want to share with you problem being faced by officers, especially new asst. Engineers for getting their first increment & regularisation after one year of their service in pseb. After passing 5-6 months above their first year in service many officers are still waiting for their regularisation/increment to be executed. And the attitude of dealing officials “ jinu jarrort hovegi personally aake karalu” is quite disturbing. Reasons for not granting increment: 1. We have not received your regularisation order from so & so section (from one room of head office to other even in four months) 2. We have not got your medical verification from gzztd. Section (no asst. Engnr. was eligible to get salary after two months of job if he doesn’t submit medical certificate, they are asking for it after 18 months).

Do PSPCL officers need a support cell ?

Hello pspcl engineer brothers. With this topic i am trying to get your attraction towards problem faced by us in our day to day personal official works. When i say personal official work i mean to say our personal duty/job related work to be executed by office (mostly in head office for / by gazetted section or P&A section).

With this i want to share with you problem being faced by officers, especially new asst. Engineers for getting their first increment & regularisation after one year of their service in pseb. After passing 5-6 months above their first year in service many officers are still waiting for their regularisation/increment to be executed. And the attitude of dealing officials “ jinu jarrort hovegi personally aake karalu” is quite disturbing.

Reasons for not granting increment:

1. We have not received your regularisation order from so & so section (from one room of head office to other even in four months)

2. We have not got your medical verification from gzztd. Section (no asst. Engnr. was eligible to get salary after two months of job if he doesn’t submit medical certificate, they are asking for it after 18 months).

Luckily i got both things in time. But our colleagues who are not fortunate enough are visiting head office from all corners of Punjab. They are are just moving around tables in offices without any seating arrangements , standing in front of officials with their papers & required works . And are being told “sir you yourself get this file from us and get it verified from so & so section jaldi hojuga pher asi chech karlage”. And are finding it quite difficult to get the final result.

I have come to know a recent example two days ago one officer (sdo) all the way from Tarntarn visiting a senior officer in accounts deptt. & saying sir i have been told by dispatch people that you have received my regularisation file for increment. i want to get this work done by hand so hat i do not need to come again, please clear it. Answer was i am having 30 files on my table you kindly search for yours i will do.

Another problem is for officers who are being transferred from one place to other . Responsibility, of getting LPC verified for income tax, for arrears, for getting allowance of new posting etc. Is to be owned by officer himself . Dealing officials talk sir even retd. Chiefs/S.E.s come to us for get it verified for pension arrear etc. Either officers are sending their subordinate staff wasting his official time or Even Xen level officers are visiting these without chair ( for visiting officers) offices.

Some times senior officers have to get their GPF passbooks to be verified or correction of entry or for loan purpose etc. Depending on dealing officials it may take 5 to 10 days & we may have to send some body or come again to head office.

With all these problems officers taking leave from offices also get the board’s work to suffer. Considering To minimize these type of problems one supporting cell kind of official mechanism with atleast one official at division level may be sought who can get these type of works executed. Detailed guidelines for this cell may be further withdrawn.

Other problems being observed by officers may please be shared on this common platform.

Suggestions/ guidance (for ourselves also) by senior officers in this regard will be highly welcomed & awaited.
