SimCoder provides the capability to generate C code automatically from the PSIM schematic. With SimCoder, users can simulate a system in PSIM first, then generate C code for specific DSP hardware. The automatic code generation provides a seamless integration between simulation and hardware implementation, and greatly speeds up the development and design process. At the present, SimCoder supports three hardware targets: TI-F28335 Hardware Target PE-Expert3 Target General Hardware Target With the TI-F28335 Hardware Target, the generated code can run directly, without any changes, on any Texas Instruments' floating-point DSP F28335. With PE-Expert3 Target, the generated code can run directly, without any changes, on PE-Expert3 DSP development platform (with Texas Instruments TMS320C6713 floating-point DSP) from Myway Co (www.myway.co.jp). With the General Hardware Target, code can be generated for generic- type hardware. Users can make changes to the code and adopt the code for their own specific hardware. More hardware targets will be supported in the future. EVENT CONTROL Event control is part of SimCoder. It allows users to define multiple states, and the sequence control between the states. For example, the system beside shows two states, S1 and S2, and the transition between the states. One advantage of the event control in PSIM is that it is very easy to use. Unlike in some software where the states and system schematics are separately defined, in PSIM, the definition of states and the corresponding schematic are all in the same environment. This makes very easy to create and edit a system with multiple states. The SimCoder allows you to generate C code out of the PSIM control schematic. The generated code, however, will not run on DSP hardware as it is. In order to generate the code that can run on a particular DSP hardware, you need a hardware target. With the TI-F28335 Hardware Target, you will be able to generate code that is ready to run on DSP boards that use TI's F28335 floating- point DSP. Beside shows a screenshot of SimCoder with TI-F28335 Hardware Target. The image shows a 2-ch DC/DC Buck Converter Kit (TMDSDCDC2KIT), and inside the F28335 DSP. More hardware targets will be supported in the future. Induction motor drive system Portion of the generated code Event control TI-F28335 Target

The SimCoder allows you to generate C code out of the PSIM controlschematic. The generated code, however, will not run on DSPhardware as it is. In order to generate the code that can run on aparticular DSP hardware, you need a hardware target.
