Psalm 87

The Dome of the Rock, Jerusalem, which is built on the site of the Jewish Temple, for the Jews the most

sacred spot on earth.

The Mother of all men!

Of Isaiah:

Isaiah 2:2 In the last days the mountain of the Lord’s temple will be established. He will judge between the nations and settle

disputes for many peoples. Nation will not take up sword against nation, nor will they

train for war anymore!

This brief psalm is prophetic. The vision of Zion as the metropolis of the world-wide kingdom of God is not to be interpreted geographically but spiritually.

Isaiah 63:23 …all mankind will come and bow down before me says

the Lord.

Zion is exalted by the

ingathering of the Gentiles. This one and

that one refers to the nations

such as: Babylon, age long enemies from Tyre and Philistia; and

Ethiopia representative of

the remote peoples of the

earth.

When He rolls out the scroll of the peoples of His city there will be no aliens on it. Ephesians 3:6 “Through the Gospel the gentiles are heirs together with Israel …they share together in the promise in Christ Jesus.” Revelation 7:9, 10“…I looked and there before me was a great multitude from every nation, tribe, people and language standing before the throne and in front of the Lamb.”

“All my fountains are in Him!”

We long for Him to rule this earth!

Psalm 87He has set his foundation on the holy mountain; the Lord loves the gates of Zion more than all the dwellings of Jacob. Glorious things are said of you, O city of God; I will record Rahab and Babylon among those who acknowledge me—Philistia too, and Tyre, along with Cush—and will say, “This one was born in Zion.”Indeed of Zion it will be said, “This one and that one were born in her, and the Most High himself will establish her.”The Lord will write in the register of the peoples: “This one was born in Zion.” As they make music they will sing, “All my fountains are in you.”
