The start of a new year is exciting for all of us. We have spent the summer eagerly preparing for our students’ return, and look forward to sharing new learning experiences. The summer was very busy with several maintenance projects around the district. The major improvement you’ll notice is many of the district’s parking lots and driveways were resurfaced and lined. Our custodial staff has worked hard to clean and make shine every building for our students and staff. The staff has attended professional development and training to make PCLS a great place to learn. The district will launch the new Strategic Plan that features five goals: 1. Provide a learning environment that supports and encourages the success of ALL students. 2. Develop and strengthen relationships with business stakeholders in mutually beneficial ways. 3. Develop and strengthen relationships with community stakeholders. 4. Provide a positive environment that fosters the social and emotional development of students to help them succeed in school and life. 5. Develop and strengthen relationships between families and the school district to enhance the students’ educational experience. These five goals will guide our district. The strategic plan was created with the collaborative efforts of many stakeholders. The 2015-16 school year will begin with the rollout of the plan to make PCLS the best it can be!
