SuperLoads Solutions Team

Overview SuperLoads, Inc. was created in the late 90's for the purpose of providing transportation solutions for specialized over-dimensional freight. Over the years SuperLoads has developed into a team of companies who by contract and/or other arrangements work together under the SuperLoads banner to provide creative solutions to both transportation and manufacturing challenges. As noted below some of these companies are either wholly owned, or the majority is Veteran Owned, by a Service Disabled, Viet Nam Era Serviceman. From the genesis to present the explanation below will explain how the formation of the SuperLoads Solution Team, evolved as a result of finding solutions for unique challenges as follows: The Challenge: Find a means to transport a 650,000 pound transformer from New Orleans to the center of the Appalachian Mountains for Pennsylvania Power and Light. The Solution: Create a joint venture with Beyel Brothers Crane and Rigging in order to accommodate the last six mile road haul of the shipment via a 32 axle truck, with 256 tires, to carry the load. The Challenge: Provide a product that would meet DOE and UN specifications for a specialized nuclear waste liner for drum protection in the burial process. The Solution: Manufacturing Contractors, Incorporated has for the past five years satisfactorily delivered specialized 55 gallon drum liners for a DOE WIPP project at Carlsbad, NM and other locations. We have two manufacturing plants capable of producing any product made from plastic, rubber, or metal materials and one of these facilities is ISO certified. The Challenge: Railroads have a restricted cargo damage liability limit, by tariff, in the amount of $25,000.00. Find a means or method to insure spot-rail-cargo on a multi-modal basis for any amount of value transported in North America and throughout the world. The Solution: The creation of Cargo Risk Management; SuperLoads has a cargo insurance program underwritten by Lloyds of London to insure superload cargo from any origin to any destination in the world on a multi modal basis. This program was utilized to insure three NASA shipments with the value of $10,000,000.00 in 2009 and 2010.

The Solution: Create a joint venture between SuperLoads and Daniluk Corp. for custom manufacturing processes as required and incorporate their products and services accordingly. The Challenge: Find a logistical solution for incorporating waterborne freight requirements into transportation projects. The Solution: Create a joint venture, by and between, SuperLoads and SR International Logistics, Inc., providing worldwide water born freight solutions. The Challenge: Find a means or method to handle all over-dimensional freight inquires for the nation’s largest trucking company, CH Robinson. The Solution: SuperLoads-FBC, Inc. entered into a contract with CHR to respond to all inquires for over-dimensional freight for CHR. This agreement also authorized SL to utilize the 50,000 truck fleet of CHR for other freight requirements as needed. The Challenge: Provide a web based automated system to provide shippers with a simplistic online method to obtain quotes for specialized transportation needs. The Solution: The creation of SuperLoadsFX Bid Board; SuperLoads Freight Exchange is a corporation created to provide an electronic bidding process for over dimensional freight needs, www.superloadsfx.com, launch date: 8-15-2010. Cargo Risk Management (CRM) was created as a solution to the challenge of shipping valuable cargo by rail. Railroads are limited in their liability to $25,000 by Federal statute; this poses a real problem to shippers who inevitably have cargo that is worth much more. SuperLoads, partnered with Lloyd’s of London, created Cargo Risk Management to provide a policy that can cover freight of any value originating in North America destined to any place in the world regardless of mode of transport.

CRM provides an engineering analysis for each insured shipment. This not only protects the valuable cargo but insures the safety of the equipment operators involved in the project and the cargo in transit.

CRM provides a certified LoadMaster at each shipment’s origin and any trans-loading

points as required by Lloyd’s of London for the cargo insurance.

CRM provides complete claims services in the event of damage.

Since CRM’s inception there have only been two damaged shipments. In both cases the damage did not exceed the $5,000 deductible due to the pre-planning and engineering that takes place with each and every shipment
