The Problem

Out-of-pocket-payments (OOP) causes impoverishment:

About 1.3 billion people worldwide cannot access effective and affordable health care if needed

Every year more than ca. 150 million individuals face financial catastrophe

About 100 million individuals fall into poverty each year by the need to pay for health services

Much funding goes into vertical programmes SHP not adequately integrated into national health

involved in the design and further development of P4H

International Health Partnership- Providing for Health

P4H is in the design phase P4H will work in close cooperation with the

International Health Partnership (IHP) P4H will focus on sustainable domestic health

financing structures for social health protection
