The Your Local Club Academy Games has been developed by the Regional Academies of Sport NSW Inc. as an exciting inter-Academy initiative that enables athletes to come together to participate in their chosen sport. This initiative would not be achievable without the excellent financial and operational support provided by our major partners Your Local Club and the NSW Office of Sport. As in previous years, hockey is once again one of the largest participating sports, catering for twelve teams across seven Academies in 14 rounds and 36 games of competition. GERRY KNIGHTS CANDICE BOGGS Regional Academies of Sport—Hockey Convenors

The Academy Games represents a gathering of the State’s Regional Academies of Sport to celebrate the skill and development of their talented athletes. Although the Games are not intended to recognise or acclaim the “best” Academy or team, the individual performances of the athletes will be recognised, through the naming of a Most Valuable Player (MVP) for each Academy team following the conclusion of competition. Each team will have a male and female MVP named.

In addition to the naming of MVP athletes, pennants for 1st , 2nd and 3rd place will be awarded to the finalists of both the boys and girls competition.

The Your Local Club Hockey Academy Games are endorsed by:

On behalf of the Regional Academies of Sport and all Academy Games athletes, staff and volunteers, we wish to say a special ‘thank you’ to the following people for their fabulous efforts in planning and executing the Hockey Games.
