This is what we have planned for you:

::: SUNDAY 31 MARCH Assemble late afternoon in Johannesburg before boarding our direct flight to Cairo. A full and detailed information pack put together from past tours will be e-mailed to you in advance, along

with your daily programme. And golf bags travel for free.

::: MONDAY 1 APRIL

On arrival in Cairo we take a short flight to the ancient city of Luxor, where we are transferred to our 5-star Nile Cruise boat. After freshening up, the remainder of the morning is spent at

the fascinating Valley of the Kings, one of the most concentrated historical sites in the world. Lunch on the cruise boat is followed by a visit to the Luxor and the Karnak Temples, regarded as the 2nd most important site in Egypt. Then it is back to the cruise boat for sundowners on

deck and our first dinner on board.

::: TUESDAY 2 APRIL

Our cruise boat sails from Luxor after breakfast and the relaxed, laid-back feeling sets in. Lying on deck watching the desert and other river traffic pass by, enjoying the sumptuous buffet lunch and then tea and cake mid-afternoon. It becomes addictive. Later, sip on your sundowners as

the sun drops below the horizon of the western desert before dinner and a good night’s sleep.

::: WEDNESDAY 3 APRIL Another day on the Nile…. Onboard entertainment, a swim in the ship’s pool, short strolls ashore during the sightseeing stops at Komombo and Edfu, another sumptuous buffet lunch or just

relaxing on deck…it’s a perfect day! And then it’s sundowners and dinner…it really is addictive!

::: THURSDAY 4 APRIL

After breakfast we arrive at Aswan and visit the Aswan Dam and its sights. A short boat trip takes us to the Philae Temple, a World Heritage site located on an island in the Nile.

After our buffet lunch on board, there is the chance to explore the small town of Aswan or simply lie back and enjoy the views of the Nile from your sunloungers.

This evening the cruise boat presents special entertainment for our last evening on board, an “Egyptian-theme” party including a traditional belly-dance show with live music. And

everyone has the chance to dress up (costumes available on the boat) for a fun-filled party which is certain to last late into the night.

::: FRIDAY 5 APRIL

After an early breakfast we fly to Cairo and are then transferred by air-conditioned coach to our 5-star hotel which is literally a-9 iron from the River Nile.

After unpacking and freshening up, we spend the afternoon visiting the Pyramids of Cheops,

Chephren and Mycrenos, considered to be one of the Seven Wonders of the World, and the nearby Sphinx.

::: SATURDAY 6 APRIL

This morning we head to DREAMLAND GC, part of the Hilton Hotel complex, for our first round of golf. Rated by many as having the best greens they have played on for a long time, the course is a fitting venue for the start of the golfing part of the tour. One of the special stops on

the morning outing for the non-golfers with our Egyptologist guide will be Khan el Khalili market, regarded as the most impressive oriental market and which comprises a large number

of shops, including a fabulous collection of Gold and Silver Jewelry. As the sun sets over the desert, we catch the magnificent Pyramids Sound and Light Show which is a never-to-be-forgotten experience in itself.

::: SUNDAY 7 APRIL Today has been kept open for everyone to spend the day they wish to spend it. Whether it is an optional round of golf, a visit to the nearby Egyptian Museum where a highlight will be the

chance to view the fabulous treasures of Tutankhamen, a dhow cruise on the Nile, savouring the wonderful local cuisine in a themed restaurant, taking a taxi and exploring the sprawling city, or

just chilling

::: MONDAY 8 APRIL

After breakfast the non-golfers will enjoy a visit to the Old City of Cairo… from the hectic Souks to the endless bazaars, our local guide will assist in finding the best bargains on offer as well as point out all the many places of interest along the way.

Golf today is at the Katameya Club, which opened in 1997, and immediately put Egypt

firmly on the world’s golf map. This 5-star deluxe resort lies amongst endless rolling hills and the prestigious clubhouse boasts restaurants, lounges, bars, a swimming pool, health spa, state

of the art fitness centre and a fully stocked Pro shop.

::: TUESDAY 9 APRIL

Today, golf is at the magnificent Mirage City Golf Course, a championship course located within the Marriott Hotel resort complex.

The non-golfers visit more sites and have more shopping opportunities if they would like, before

returning to Mirage City Golf Club for dinner, golf prize giving and the chance to freshen up before the evening transfer to Cairo airport for our flight back home

::: WEDNESDAY 10 APRIL Our flight arrives in Johannesburg early-morning, and it’s time to share our memories of our

wonderful time in Egypt with all those unfortunate folk who were not with us on the tour (and to find a way past customs with all our purchases from the bazaars along the Nile).

The tour package includes: • Return economy airfares from Johannesburg. Connecting flights: Cairo-Luxor//Aswan-Cairo • 4 night / 5-day 5-star Nile cruise from Luxor to Aswan. All meals and sightseeing included

• 4 Nights accommodation in a 5-star hotel on a bed and breakfast basis • 3 rounds of golf (additional golf easily arranged in Cairo)

• Sightseeing and entrances as specified • English speaking tour guide/Egyptologist accompanying group in Egypt

GENERAL INFORMATION AND TOUR CONDITIONS: Price: The price of the tour is subject to Standard Terms and Conditions, exchange rates and airfares and taxes at time of final payment. The price of the tour package is based on a minimum of 30 passengers and a reduction in this number may lead to a price adjustment for the tour package.

Deposit and Payment: A deposit of R 4 000,00 PER PERSON is payable on booking and is not refundable unless in the case of the cancellation of the tour by the tour operators. You are therefore encouraged to take out travel insurance which includes a cancellation clause. A tour package statement will be e-mailed to you approximately 10 weeks prior to departure and is payable within 72 hours (3 days) of presentation. No cancellations can be accepted after 10 weeks (70 days) prior to departure and the full relevant package price for the tour is payable if cancellations are received after this date. If the booking is made 10 weeks or less before said departure date, the full contract price is to be paid at the time of booking and may be subject to late ticket issue fees from the airline. A late payment fee of R250,00 pp will be charged automatically on all accounts not settled by the stipulated dates. By signing these Terms and Conditions, the passenger confirms he / she understands that the Land Arrangement portion of the package will be deductible from the travel allowance which forms part of their single discretionary allowance of R1 million per annum. Airport taxes will be reflected on a final statement at the time of ticket issue.

Itinerary: The itinerary details are subject to airline timetable changes, as well as weather and technical influences.

Passport, Visas & Health requirements: We provide basic advice to South African passport holders regarding visa requirements. Clients travelling on a passport of a different nationality should check with their embassy or consulate and must make sure they have all the necessary valid travel and health documents to comply with the requirements of the country they are visiting or travelling through. Clients are advised to travel on one passport for the duration of the tour to ensure compliance with the latest travel legislation.

Liabilities: The Golf Travel Company and/or their agents, in making arrangements for air and land services, act as agents only and on condition that they shall not be liable for any injury, death, damage, loss, accidental delay or irregularity that may be occasioned by any defect in any vehicle or form of conveyance or mishap at any place of accommodation, or for any reason whatsoever.

Travel Insurance: Passengers are advised to have travel insurance for injury, death, accident and medical expenses, enforced pre-tour cancellation and loss of luggage. All passengers are recommended to take out a travel insurance policy with a “pay in situ” and NOT a “claim when back” claim structure.

Changes to bookings: In the event of a change being made to your flight arrangements, including post-tour extensions and breakaways, an additional fee will be charged by the operating airline. Please consult our office for this additional charge which varies by airline, date and destination. Amended return dates are subject to airline availability and fare structure on the requested amended return date.

Cancellations and Refunds: No refund can be made for visits, sightseeing, meals, transfers, accommodation, golf or other services included in the tour price which were not utilized. Should the client wish to cancel for whatever reason, The Golf Travel Company must be advised in writing under the signature of the customer. No air tickets will be issued until full and final payment is received and the airline’s late ticket issue levy will apply in the event of late payment.

Medical Certificate: A doctor’s certificate confirming good health will be required for passengers 70 years and older.

Slope Handicaps: The NOMADS handicap adjustment system may be applied.

Golf buggies: The Golf Travel Company will book golf buggies when requested but cannot accept responsibility for availability on the day due to inclement weather or club restrictions.

Bookings: The Golf Travel Company reserves the right to decline any booking, at the time it is made, without stating the reason for the non-acceptance of the bookings. Any deposit made for a declined booking will be refunded in full.

Acceptance of terms and conditions: The payment of the deposit by you will be deemed to be your acceptance of these tour terms and conditions. No booking can be confirmed until the completed and signed booking form is received and the deposit reflects on Golf Travel Company bank statement.
