Our swimmers had an enjoyable week at the swimming pool and learnt lots about safety in and out of the pool, an important skill to have as we enter the summer months. Thank you to all the families for completing the OOSH survey. We are currently in discussion with our assets manager. We do apologise that we are not able to give answers around an on-site service at this stage. Please note that Blacktown council have sent through a flyer for any parents, friends or community members who may be interested in being involved in a Family Day Care service. School returns in 2019 on Wednesday 30 January for students in Years 1-6. If you will not be returning on that day, could you please notify the office if you haven’t already done so. Our current school app will be changing as we go into the new school year as our current provider is no longer in business. We will provide you with the new details once it is up and running. Our school newsletter from the beginning of next year, will be available on the app, our school website and on our facebook page. Paper copies will no longer be sent home with all children. However, families may get one from our community board outside the office. There will be a Christmas Stall/ White Elephant stall held on Thursday 6 December in the MPR. Children will attend with their class during the day. Restriction on School Car Park The school thanks the parents who are supporting the no entry to the school car park policy. Thank you for your assistance in keeping our children safe! In Cable Place, could you please be respectful and not block the driveways and only park in the legal areas or better still, park in the Cawarra Street carpark. Could you also please obey the road rules and do not stop to drop or pick up children at the front of the school. This is illegal and dangerous for not only your child, but other drivers as well. We look forward to seeing you in the next few weeks at our many special events. Dear Parents, Carers and Students, What a wonderful few weeks we have had at our great school. Our swimmers had an enjoyable week at the swimming pool and learnt lots about safety in and out of the pool, an important skill to have as we enter the summer months. Thank you to all the families for completing the OOSH survey. We are currently in discussion with our assets manager.

Restriction on School Car Park

The school thanks the parents who are supporting the no entry to the school car park policy. Thank you for your assistance in keeping our children safe! In Cable Place, could you please be respectful and not block the driveways and only park in the legal areas or better still, park in the Cawarra Street carpark. On Wednesday the 21st of November Ranger Sean from ‘Rangers on the Run’ visited the Preschool to teach us

about lots of things that can be found under the sea. Sea creatures live on sand, rocks and swim in the sea. We

got to pick up and touch many live sea creatures that are found in rock pools such as hermit crabs, starfish, sea

urchins and sea snails. We were also able to observe and smell some sea creatures which were non-living such as

a squid, fish, and baby octopus. We saw a live clownfish and prawn. We learnt lots of new information!

Outcomes:

2.4 Children become socially responsible and show respect for the environment.

4.4 Children resource their own learning through connecting with natural materials.
