    About Rubix Shuttles and Transfers

    Rubix offers shuttle and transfer services, and the head offices are based in

    Johannesburg. The founders and owners of Rubix Shuttles and Transfers are Benita

    Goodwin and Sharon Poyner. Rubix Shuttles and Transfers offer school transfers,

    corporate transfers and transportation for social events through shuttle based.. Rubix

    Shuttles and Transfers is a franchised business enabling the business to expand

    countrywide due to the huge demand in the private sector for shuttle and transfer

    services.

    Rubix Shuttles and Transfers specialise in school transfers and aims to offer the

    convenience of a reputable and punctual transfer service that caters for transportation

    to and from school, extra-mural activities and other specific requests. This allows

    parents, to focus on their work without worrying about whether their children have

    reached school, or returned home on time. The Rubix Shuttles and Transfers team look

    after the children making use of the service, just as their parents would, by offering a

    convenient, dependable and economical transfer service with the aim of saving them

    time and money.

    Rubix Shuttles and Transfers offer school transfers, corporate transfers and

    transportation for social events through shuttle based, express and long distance

    services. Our shuttle based service operates within a 10 kilometre radius from the point

    of pick up with the flexibility of return transfers as well as one way transfers.

    Our school transfer services cover the Northern suburbs of Johannesburg, and are

    expanding through a broad franchise network across South Africa.

    chauffeured service for children without the associated costs.

    The team is committed to quality service to ensure that parents stay stress-free,

    knowing their children are in safe hands. Never again panic because you are stuck in

    the traffic or waiting for a delayed bus.

    Rubix leverages technology to ensure that the parents stay informed at all times,

    supported by dedicated staff that are committed to excellence. This is what can be

    expected-

    Rubix SMS’s parents as soon as they drop children at school or at home.

    Customers can contact Rubix at any time with additional requests or to change the

    schedule.

    All vehicles have satellite tracking and navigation systems which function real time

    and are used to monitor vehicle speeds, routes and location.

    There are two trained staff members per bus to personally supervise and ensure

    children’s safety during collection, transfer and delivery.

    They conduct daily vehicle checks.

  • Regular driver assessments and on-going training.

    All staff members undergo CPR, first aid and customer care training.

    There are dedicated cell phones in every bus to enable staff to contact parents.

    The fleet comprise the latest model vehicles.

    In addition, each franchise is owner managed and closely monitored on a monthly basis

    by the Head Office to ensure that performance and service levels are met. The choice

    to make use of Rubix’ services should be a lifestyle choice, where convenience, peace

  • The heads of Rubix Shuttles and Transfers franchise agreements are:

    5 Years with the option to renew after five years

    Setting up costs: R 48,090.00 (excluding VAT) estimated.

    Vehicle Finance of one/two 10-SEATER busses. This is considered part of the

    fixed costs but vehicle finance is required

    Franchise fee R 80, 000.00 (excluding VAT)

    Owner operated

    The franchise fee is a once off payment for each franchise that is opened. It secures the

    rights to operate a franchise, using Rubix Shuttles and Transfers trademarks and

    business systems. This fee is excluded in the set up costs. This includes training for 5

    days.

    Management and marketing franchise fee:-

    Management Fee: - R 2500.00 per vehicle (Excl. VAT).

    Marketing Fee: - 2.5% (Excl. VAT) of monthly Turnover, with a minimum of R1,000 from month 1 of active operation.

    Working Capital: - R 135 000.00

    We recommend approximately R 135 000.00 as an initial start up working capital. This

    amount can either be provided in the form of an overdraft, or your own funding can be

    used for this. These funds will be used to support your cash flow in the initial start up

    phase.

    Rubix Shuttles and Transfers marketing Ethos Rubix Shuttles and Transfers conducts marketing and advertising activities which are

    funded by a central marketing fund from monies collected from the advertising levy

    appropriated through contributions by all franchisees.

  • We will advise on any local marketing. Appropriate mediums and advertorials in

    relevant consumer and trade magazines are generally used with a combination of

    shows and press advertising. Joint promotions and direct mail will be encouraged to

    convey Rubix Shuttles and Transfers message to a defined market. The direct selling

    concept is the very core to Rubix Shuttles and Transfers mode of operation. Each

    franchise operates independently, marketing and selling the services to the consumer.

    Training

    Rubix Shuttles and Transfers offer an intensive in-house training course for franchisees

    and managers followed by on-the-job training on the training site. Other training courses

    are also available at various times during the year and will be run on an ongoing and ad

    hoc basis at the expense of the Franchisee unless otherwise indicated.

    Franchisee profile

    Rubix Shuttles and Transfers are particularly interested in people who possess some or

    all of the following attributes:

    A people’s person who is able to work with the public and have a pleasant,

    positive and caring nature;

    He or she must have very good selling skills; experience in direct selling is

    preferable;

    A self-motivated and organised person who wants to succeed and be prepared to

    work as part of a team;

    Financially and ethically sound person who treats customers, suppliers and

    Approximately 40 percent of total set-up costs available in cash plus six to eight

    months personal living expenses while the Franchise outlet is being established.

    Should you wish to review our Disclosure Document, we would require all the necessary

    documentation submitted COMPLETE prior to any confidential information pertaining to

    Once you have submitted your stage 1 completed documentation, a head office

    representative will contact you and arrange a one on one meeting with the General

    Manager and Co-Owner of Rubix Shuttles and Transfers..

    Cash or Finance? Should you decide on purchasing your franchise “Cash”, you will

    have the added advantage of having your franchise setup and ready to operate far

    sooner than would you have gone for the finance option. Rubix Shuttles and Transfers

    is able to assist with contacts to raise funding from Banks, Funding Institutions etc.

    Rubix Shuttles and Transfers Do Not however, handle any funding process thus take no

    responsibility for any outcome/turnaround time this may have. Rubix Shuttles and

    Transfers will however, in its power, supply the Financier with any requirements needed

    to raise your funding.
