Profile
Central Tribal University of Andhra Pradesh was established by the act of Parliament No.15
of 2019. The jurisdiction of the University extends to the whole country and it is fully funded by the
Central Government through the University Grants Commission. The University facilitates the
Tribes’ long cherished dream of higher education.
Objectives
The Central Tribal University of Andhra Pradesh has set the following aims and objectives
to achieve.
� To provide avenues of education, viz., especially higher education and research facilities to
the students of India, which aims inclusion of tribal students and bring them to main stream.
� To disseminate and advance knowledge by providing instructional and research facilities in
tribal art, tradition, culture, language, medicinal systems, customs, forest base economic
activities, flora, and fauna besides making available to them the advancement in technologies
concerning the natural resources of the tribal areas.
� To collaborate with national and international Universities and organizations to undertake
joint cultural studies and research on tribal communities.
� To formulate tribal centric development models, publish reports and monographs and to
organize conferences and seminars on issues relating to tribes and to provide inputs to the
Government(s) on policy matters in different spheres.
� To take appropriate measures for promoting the tribal communities to be able to manage,
administer and look after their own resources and needs by accessing to higher education
through a university of their own.
� To disseminate and advance knowledge by providing instructional and research facilities in
such other branches of learning as it may deem fit.
� To take appropriate measures to promote innovations in the teaching learning process in the
context of inter-disciplinary studies and researches and to pay special attention to improve
social, educational and economic conditions and welfare of the Scheduled Tribes within the
Union of India.

enhancement of employable skills.
� To undertake basic and advanced research activities related to empowerment of tribal
population.

� To introduce CBCS pattern for all the Programmes offered.

� To promote multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary research. The University will have a
diverse mix of bright students from across the country and talented faculty who have
obtained their qualifications from premier institutions from India and abroad.
� Holistic academic atmosphere which opens up new and challenging avenues in Teaching,
Research, Innovation, Training and Skill Development.
� Choice-based Credit system (CBCS) with greater emphasis on inter and multi-disciplinary
studies.
� Continuous internal assessment throughout the semester
General Instructions
Applications from eligible candidates are invited for admission into Central Tribal University
of Andhra Pradesh for various programmes offered by Central Tribal University of Andhra Pradesh
at its transit campus at Kondakarakam (Post), Cantonment (SPO), Vizianagaram District for the
academic year 2020-21.
1. Candidates are advised to carefully go through the Admission Information Brochure
available at Websites : www.ctu.audoa.in www.andhrauniversity.edu.in www.ctuap.in
Courses offered, their eligibility criteria, details of seats available in this brochure.
2. The medium of instruction for all the Programmes shall be in English only (except for the
language courses).
3. Age limit: Candidates seeking admission to all UG Programmes shall not be more than 22
Years as on 1st July 2020. However, 05 years relaxation in the age limit is given to
SC/ST/PWD students. Candidates seeking admission to all PG Programmes shall not be more
than 27 Years as on 1st July 2020. However, 05 years relaxation in the age limit is given to
SC/ST/PWD students.
4. SC/ST/PWD and Kashmiri Migrant students can avail 5% relaxation in marks either at the
qualifying examination or at the entrance examination. The concession cannot be availed at
both levels. If the seats reserved for SC/ST remain vacant then the same will be filled by the
SC/ST candidates who appear for entrance exam irrespective of their ranking in the exam.
5. Students belongs to ST, SC, OBC, PWD, EWS, NCC, NSS, Sports and Children of Security
force personals will be given priority in admissions following the norms of reservation directed
by the Government of India.
6. A candidate may apply for admission into as many Programmes as he/ she wishes subject to
fulfill the eligibility criteria.

7. The University will not communicate any of the information to the candidates through
mail/phone or any other media. Therefore, it is the responsibility of the candidates to obtain
information by visiting the University website regularly.
8. No request will be entertained for extension of time for admission after the completion of
admission process on account of any reason/s whatsoever.
9. INCOMPLETE APPLICATIONS WILL BE SUMMARILY REJECTED.

How to Apply
1. SUBMISSION OF FILLED IN APPLICATIONS THROUGH ONLINE: Applications
should be submitted through online only.
Online Submission
For online submission, visit the Website www.ctuap.in, A candidate has to pay Rs.
600/- (Rs.500/- for SC/ST/PWD) as Registration and Application Processing Fee (and late fee if
applicable) by opting any of the following modes of payments: (a) Andhra Bank (b) Debit / Credit
Card / Net Banking. After filling the online Application form with the required details, verify all the
details, carefully and press Submit button. Filled in Application Form will be generated that contains
Application number along with filled details. Take print out of filled in Online Application Form.
Use the Application number for future correspondence till the admission process is completed.
The following information must be kept ready for filling the details for online submission
a. Select the eligible courses and corresponding tests.
b. Hall-Ticket Number of Qualifying Examination.
c. Percentage of marks and year of Passing of Qualifying Examination, if passed.
d. Date of Birth as per SSC records.
e. Caste in case of SC/ST/BC/EWS candidates.
f. PH/NCC/ NSS/SPORTS /CAP etc.
g. Parental Income Upto One lakh or up to Two lakhs or more than Two Lakhs (rupees)
h. Study or Residence (from M.R.O) or relevant certificate for proof of local status.

2. Hall Tickets.
Candidates should download the Hall-Tickets from the University website : www.ctuap.in
and attend the examination.

Medium of Instruction :
The medium of instruction and examinations for Integrated B.Sc, BBA, B.Sc Geology,
M.Sc, MSW,PG Diploma Programmes shall be in English (only except the specific language
Papers).
Entrance Examination and Admission Procedures: If the candidate desires to apply for more than one programme, a separate application form
has to be submitted with requisite fee as per eligibility.
The admissions will be offered to the students in the order of merit as per the rank of the
entrance examination (CTUAPCET-2020) and the reservation policy of the Government of India.
The candidates, whose qualifying examination results are not declared at the time of application,
should fulfill the eligibility at the time of admission. They will not be allowed to take admission if
they fail to secure the required percentage of marks in their qualifying examination or if they fail in
the said examination. The University shall not consider the marks of the supplementary examination
or the marks of improvement. The particulars of the Programme, the minimum qualification, exam
pattern, and the date and time of entrance exam are given below.

Note :
1) The venue of the Examination Centre will be given in the hall ticket/Admit Card.
2) The University reserves the right to cancel any of the above centres and allot another nearby
centre to the applicants.
3) Because of COVID-19 pandemic outbreak, date of entrance examination and place of centre may
be changed.
4) If the pandemic continues the mode of admission may be changed from entrance examination.

Reservation :
For the reservation of seats, university shall follow the norms of the Government of India.
Differently Abled Candidates :
As per the provision under section 39 of the PWD Act 1995. 3% of seats are reserved for the
Differently abled candidates. The three categories of disability are: (a) Low vision/blindness,
(b) hearing impairment, and (c) locomotors disability/cerebral palsy. This provision is applicable if the
candidate suffers from any of the listed disabilities to the extent of not less than 40% as certified by a medical
authority as prescribes and explained in the said Act.

Supernumerary Seats :
Two supernumerary seats are reserved for the students belonging to the State of Jammu & Kashmir
under MHRD‟s special scholarship scheme per programme. One Supernumerary seat is reserved for students
with certificates of NSS/NCC/Sports. The applicants seeking admission to any of the programme under the
above quota have to see the details given. For the students belongs to EWS, the university will follow the
latest directions given by the Government of India.
N.C.C. Cadets :
Candidates claiming reservation under the NCC quota should have “B” or “C” Certificate with A or B
grade for admission.
N.S.S. Volunteers :
NSS volunteers who have attended two seven-day Special Camps and one National Integration Camp
or Republic Day Camp may claim reservation under NSS quota for admission.
Sports :
Candidates seeking weightage for distinctions in sports must furnish along with their
applications, self-attested photocopies of sports certificate/s at inter-collegiate/inter-university level
in support of their claim, failing which no weightage would be considered.
Wards / Dependants of Defence Personnel :
One supernumerary seat is reserved for the wards/dependents of Defense Personnel. The
candidates should enclose a copy of the certificate issued by a Competent Authority in support of
their claim without which their claim shall not be considered. The candidates seeking admission
under this category must take the entrance examination for admission and fulfill all other
