The London School of Commerce Malta (LSC Malta) forms part of the global London School of Commerce (LSC) Group of Colleges and provides students with the opportunity to study courses leading to Internationally recognised qualifications in Malta.

LSC Malta courses are fully accredited by the National Commission for Further and Higher Education in Malta. All programmes of study are approved at the appropriate level of the European Qualifications Framework thus ensuring global portability and recognition of the qualifications.

How to Apply

To maximise the chances of a successful application, prospective students are advised to apply well in advance of the course commencement date. We aim to give a decision within 2 weeks of receiving your application form.

To apply, the application form must be completed and returned to the London School of Commerce Malta with the following documents:

Are there any special health precautions required when travelling to Malta?No. Visitors do not need to take any special health precautions when travelling to Malta. The level of health care is of an extremely high standard. However, it is advisable to have medical insurance cover for the duration of your stay since medical treatment may be expensive and is only offered free of charge to residents of the European Union.

What languages are spoken in Malta?The local language is Maltese with English being the other national language and spoken by all the population. Italian is also generally well understood and spoken, and a number of Maltese nationals have learnt French, and to a lesser extent, German or Spanish, at school or privately. Therefore most visitors will not have any difficulties in making themselves understood.

Can students work while following LSC Malta courses? Yes. Students will be allowed to work in Malta. A variety of work opportunities ranging from jobs in the hospitality industry to professional placements can be found in Malta. Work rights are only guaranteed provided that you retain a high course attendance and can show good progress with your studies. LSC Malta will be obliged to report students who fail to attend classes or do not make good progress to the Maltese immigration authorities and the right to work may be withdrawn at their absolute discretion in such cases

Frequently Asked Questions by International Students

What currency is used in Malta?Malta is a member state of the European Union and its national currency is the Euro (Symbol = €). One Euro is approximately equivalent to 1.35 US Dollars (exchange rates will vary).

Are Student Visas difficult to obtain?No. Malta adopts an extremely welcoming approach to bona fide international students and, provided you satisfy all entry requirements and security clearance, a visa will be issued following application through the established procedure. LSC Malta will be happy to advise and guide you through the visa application process.

The BA (Hons) provides students with a broad knowledge of business operations as well as gaining targeted and transferable skills.

The core modules will deliver the fundamentals of business and management theory, while course options will enable students to specialise in specific areas of interest, or to prepare students for specialised professional requirements. In addition, a practical element will enable them to develop IT, analytical and communication skills.

This degree provides a good balance between academic achievement and the acquisition of skills/ ”graduate attributes” required by employers. The programme, together with the Major Project module at Level 6, not only adds value that will be recognised by employers in an increasingly competitive environment, it but also offers another dimension to the experience. The additional value is the benefit upon graduation that enables graduates to fit into the work culture, do the job, develop ideas, take initiative and responsibility and ultimately help organisations to manage change.

Students who do not have the required English capabilities are able to study pre-sessional Academic English courses. LSC Malta offer 4, 8 and 12 month Academic English courses for €1,950, €2,950 and €3,950 respectively.

The MBA course is aimed at ambitious business management professionals seeking an affordable and effective way of furthering their careers. The programme is taught on a convenient modular basis, ideal for busy executives, by both local and visiting lecturers renowned in their various fields of international business.

Students are expected to attend a full weekend of taught modules every six to eight weeks and to supplement this with personal study, preparation and coursework.

This programme of study leads to an MBA degree awarded by LSC, Malta, or the University of Bedfordshire, UK, dependent on the final study choices of the student. This internationally recognised programme is delivered at UK master’s Level 7 and European Qualifications Framework Level 7 standard.

While the entire course can be completed in Malta, students also have the option of completing the final module/major project at other LSC Group campuses.

The Masters of Business Administration (MBA) attracts people from a wide range of academic disciplines.

The core modules of the MBA programme are designed to introduce students to the various areas of business such as Accounting, Finance, Marketing, Human resource management and Strategic Management. Students on the MBA programme also have a choice of specialist electives, prior to proceeding to the Major project.

This programme of study leads to an MBA degree awarded by LSC Malta, or the University of Bedfordshire, UK, dependent on the final study choices of the student. This internationally recognised programme is delivered at UK master’s Level 7 and European Qualifications Framework Level 7 standard.

While the entire course can be completed in Malta, students also have the option of completing the final module/major project at other LSC Group campuses.

Students who complete the first five core modules and the required electives will be given the option to transfer their credits to the University of Bedfordshire or other LSC Group campuses for the major project. Upon successfully completion of their major project studies they will receive their MBA Degree from University of Bedfordshire.
